There was a DZ around somewhere that offered a 'private' flight in their decked out KingAir, it will fly around with just you and your SO in the back for a few hours. I have gone without beer for the last year and have been trying to make up for it. So i totally understand the whole thing with jumping with a camera and it distracting you and stuff. so im gonna stay away from that for a while. the GoPro takes stills and i have a chest mount and stuff so i mostly just wanted some cool shots of me under canopy to put on facebook or something...cause im a teenager and thats what i do... haha. so if i did like a solo and then just got a few stills under canopy would that still be bad? Thanks for the input Its a VERY wide angle lense, even at 5mp, the pictures wont be very detailed. Its also kind of difficult to operate in photo mode, you have to turn it on, change it to photo mode and take the pictures, all without dropping the tiny mofo. There is no real easy way for a grown up to hold on to it, not even a hole for a lanyard to attach. I wouldnt do it... atleast not without a dummy cord tied to the waterproof housing, but that just introduces a risk of entanglement. There is also not much shot confirmation, it just shows a number of files on the screen, you take a pic, and if it worked, that number should go up. Depends if the router is on the same floor... there are ALOT of variables, but in theory, your router has dead spots right above and below the antenna, in a cone shape, starting from the antenna and getting bigger, because the antennas are omni-directional, but not usually an up or down.
