Well if Fdisk is showing the drive as having no partition then it sounds like you may be fucked. I think you basally updated the master boot record to before the drive was formatted and partitioned. The only thing I can think of doing is do a fidsk /mbr on that drive. the MBR switch is spoused to replace the master boot record but my guess is that its prob not going to work. I have only ever done it on the main boot drive and never on a second drive. Now your standard disclaimer. What i just suggested my fuck up your computer even more then when you started. So if you got nothing to loose try it. Now if it comes down to you have to repartition the drives don't use that crap shit gay ass software they send with the drive. Just fdisk the drive and format it manually. Also a word of warning if your going to use partition magic be carefull more then one time have a made changes to my drives and cause my self to have to fdisk the thing to get it back. But in this situation i don't think partition magic is going to help you at all. Im guessing that if you used ez bios your probably fucked. On a normal pc the MBR on the main drive shouldn't even give a shit about the second drive but those ez bios programs do some funky shit sometime to make it look like one drive and kinds of other crap. Well first of all let me put it this way Almost every single magazine in the world sells there mailing lists along with credit companies and just about any other company that keeps records. I worked for a company that sold mailing lists for a few years in there web deployment department. There is a ton of money to be made in junk mail. Basically there are a few large companies who will compile large lists from all the smaller companies. Or you have companies who sell specialized lists such as people who skydive. I don't care who send a letter to asking to be removed for this list or that list you will NEVER Stop getting junk mail. Now if you want a little idea of how mailing lists work when you buy a mailing list they are generally a one time use thing. If company A wants to send out a catalog to a bunch of skydivers then they would buy the list from a complier and do there mailing. Company A would no longer be able to use that list if they wanted to send out another catalog they would need to buy they rights to use that list again. The second way companies get lists is they are allowed to do as many mailing as they want for say a period of one year. The companies who buy these mailing lists are not really allowed to own the list they are just allowed to use it for mailing. Most mailing lists have Fake names in them that go to the company who provide the lists so they can tell if company A is only doing one mailing. You can also bet that 99% of the time the only thing looking at the lists is the computer. There really is a lot more that goes on then i can explain in this simple post but it kinda gives you a general idea of how they work if you go to http://www.listkey.com/ that is the site i helped build. On the left hand side if you click start my list you can actually pick the type of mailing list you want to choose from and then you can out in your criteria and in the end it will tell you how many people it found that match its kind of fun to go play with it. I suggest you choose the Consumer File Demo and see what kind of options companies have to choose from. the ones listed on the site are only a very small sample of the options that are available I think that the company who actually compiles that list has over 150 different search criteria available. Defiantly Relax! I know its hard to do sometimes I had to do my lvl 6 3 times and spend 10 min in the wind tunnel because i was so stiff. But once i figured it out it was cake after that. You will get get past it don't worry. Still on student status myself (shitty ass wind!) i know how frustrating it can be at times remember skydiving is fun!!

Ok here is the difference between Dolby prologic and Dolby Digital. No DVD or VHS tape really supports prologic. Prologic basicly take a stereo signal and creates the 4 diferent chaneles. left front center right front and a mono rear channel. So any video or dvd that is recorded in stereo will work just fine. Dolby digital on the other hand actually has separate audio tracks encoded for each of the speakers so the movie producers have a much better control of the sound. Most of the new dvd's will be in dolby digital but also note that any receiver that is capable of doing dolby digital is able to do dolby prologic for backwards compatibly for dvd's or videos that do not have the dolby digital encoding. There is also a special connection for the digital sound connection on the receiver if you do not connect that you will never get digital sound. Doubt you would screw anything up by taking it out. in fact you usualy make your computer run better by removing all the crap from the startup folder. Like i said in my previos post use the msconfig program to do it because you can always go back and put the checks back into the boxes and the programs will start back again when you reboot your computer. What Version of windows are you running??. The easyiest way to find out what is running on startup is to click start then click run and in the run window type msconfig at the top of the window there is a tab that says startup click that tab and there will be a bunch of check boxes uncheck the items that you do not want to startup when you start your computer. Not sure what program to tell you to uncheck but a little trial and error should do the trick. The msconfig program does not come with every version of windows so if you cant find it there are a few other places to check for programs starting up. Try that first and if you dont have msconfig let me know and i will see if i can help some more. Matt

Actualy scanreg keeps 5 copys of the registry it's automatic unless you disable the program from running on startup. I had the unfortunate job of doing phone tech support for 2 years. That little fix saved many of reinstalls of windows. Matt

there is actualy a lot easier way to get back to an older version of the registry if you boot into dos mode on a windows 98 box type scanreg it will do a quick scan of the registry and allow you to replace it with a backup version of the entire registry. Just restore it with a version prior to you installing all the camera stuff. You also metioned scandisk you can run this from dos as well usualy if it wont run in windows it will always run in dos.
