"Sheriff Joe's case against amnesty on fast track"
masterrig replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
We can only hope you are right Hearing what Arpaio is saying, is what I hear from Border Patrol Agents. The idea of 'let 'em all in', is bull-shit. I see nothing wrong with being selective in who we let into this country. I hope the sheriff wins this one!! Chuck -

I don't usually make predictions but I see the Sheriff winning this one. The 'president' acted illegally and how his law can be enforced is beyond me. Obama acted outside the bounds of his position as president. I hate to inform him but he is a president of a democracy... not some kind of monarch. I believe Sheriff Arpaio is right. We'll just have to wait and see how it goes. Chuck -

Islamic State video claims to show child killing Russia spies
masterrig replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
Uh . . . more than a thousand, less than thousands. A bit of exaggeration on my part but you got my drift. Chuck Actually, I'm guessing they weren't all that much of a well Mannered group even before Mohammed (Peace be upon him) took his little winged flight. That'd be my guess. Look at Iraq... we were going to 'civilize' them. They took all the money we threw at them but as soon as we left, they were right back where they were. Different faces maybe but same old deal. Islamic State video claims to show child killing Russia spies

I saw the video and they of course, did not show the kid shooting the prisoners. The whole idea is wrong in so many ways. The sad part of it is, those people have been like that for thousands of years. They aren't going to change either. Chuck -
Fellatio and cunnilingus have been performed at the same time in numerous occasions, I don't know if they have been done on a skydive. There must be a reason free-flyers developed both head-down and head-up flying. They are too busy messing with their cameras to think about airborn 69 What exactly does any of this have to do with answering my question? I would say, when you feel good enough to jump and as was said, when the drugs wear-off. I'd say too, it's a personal thing. I've had a dry socket and took a small piece of cotton and shoved in in the socket and went on. Chuck If you have had routine fillings, cap, or such.. jump when you feel up to it. Extractions may be something more complicated, if treating dentist says "go home and take it easy for a few days." then do that! If it was a routine extraction, no real work to get it out, then maybe jump the next day. Dry sockets occur when the blood clot comes out of the hole where the tooth was and the bone is exposed to the oral environment long enough to be infected and not heal/close over. Its no fun to have or to treat. Pretty much its usually lower teeth in the back on a smoker. Don't be that guy. I treat lots of skydivers, they seem bound and determined to not heed my advice until it hurts. So my advice is "Do what you want until it hurts. Then my fee doubles." I also do not see a reason to wait for the anesthetic to wear off before oral sex. I don't care if your mouth can feel anything.... Medical/dental advice on the interwebs is sketchy at best and flat out wrong often. top Good advice! Thanks!! Chuck

You bet! I worked for a glider club in the panhandle and one of their members flew gliders in WW-II. He was part of the Normandy Invasion. When he landed, he said he had to keep his feet up because the floor of the wooden glider peeled-off on landing. I really believe what has been said of that generation of Americans... they were the best generation. Chuck

Dang! What a great experience. All they went through and still fought for our country. I've read books about them and everything else I could find. True, American heroes. Chuck

Chuck, Yep... you are out of adjustment with the inner foot lift. All walking foot type machines have an adjustment to change the ratio of the inner foot to the outer foot movement. Basically what you want is even lift of both the inner and outer feet. To do this is somewhat simple, but you have to play with it a bit to figure it out for each type machine. With a standard walking foot machine like a 144W, you loosen the screw on the actuating arm and then turn the shaft to adjust more or less lift of the inner foot accordingly. See attached: On a 7-33, you have to move the lifting frame to do this in most cases. But first set all of the adjustments in their mid span locations. Then loosen the screws at both points on the frame and set accordingly. If you look at the thread tension in the photo, the two two points are above and below the tension device. Also use a pencil to mark your locations BEFORE moving anything. Just in case if you know what I mean. Let me know if you need further help. MEL Mel, I can't thank you enough for your help! Outstanding information. I printed it out so I'll have it handy when I go to fix it. I really appreciate it! Chuck

I have a Singer 7-33 that the presser foot just drags and does not lift while sewing. I have tried to figure-out why but I get nowhere. Any ideas as to what may be the cause of the problem? Thanks. Chuck

Cedar Rapids is in Iowa. You have to make allowances. Why do we have to make allowances because someone is from Iowa? Chuck It's because of the corn. Iowa has lots of corn. There you have it! As they say south of the border... "No tome' la agua... tome' cervesa!" Chuck

The little girl looked really creeped-out. Chuck.

Toddler accidentally shoots and kills his mother in Idaho Wal-Mart

Very good! I'm guessing but I think, people 'posing' think that people will think they are really tough. Gangers make all kinds of glowing claims about the gang being like their family and blah, blah, blah... When it comes to another member or them, they'll turn like a snake. The worst gangers are the younger kids! 10 - 11-yr. olds. They get hold of a gun and someone is going to die! They gotta prove they're tough. Till they get caught. Chuck -

Drives me nuts seeing every day folks shootin' 'imitation gang signs. Even people on tv! Any one of those folks would fill their drawers if confronted with a 'real' ganger. Chuck -

I've noticed that the media rarely mentions in their reporting of a shooting death in the big cities, that shooting death was gang related. I don't know if it is the same but down here on the South West border, gangs have threatened newspapers and television stations if they report gang 'activities'. You can bet, gang members are behind many of them. Chuck -

Hopefully he stays the fuck off of here. Quite frankly, his character leaves much to be desired. Ran one of the Skyride DZs for a while back in the day so he associated himself with some real dirtbags. He's posted some stupid shit over the years, but this is by far the worst. Holy crap! Sounds like a real 'class act'. Just stirring-up shit. Chuck One can only hope. I noticed he never answered the question of whether or not he still really wanted kids killing their parents. Maybe he's crashed from the high he was on. maybe he's taking a little unscheduled vacation . . . it matters not as long as he is long gone and for as long as possible. Maybe, he's being fitted with one of those coats with a built-in hug? We do get some real winners on here, once in awhile. Chuck -
