    The Dept. of Justice, is 'big' on stats. For instance, a local law enforcement agency makes a drug bust on a house. If, that agency has an officer 'on-loan' to say, the DEA, DEA also picks up the 'stat' for the bust. Even though it was not initially DEA's case. Chuck

    You summed it up, rather well. Victims of such actions are afraid to testify. Mainly because, in such cases the victims are often treated like the perpetrator rather than a victim. Just like you stated, the perpetrator just goes merrily on their way to continue their ways. Chuck

    I don't think it makes you a bad mom, either! I'm married to w woman who has been in law enforcement for 25yrs. She's now a felony investigator. She's told me of cases where the victim refuses to come forward or can't come forward because they are never found. The creep that comitted the crime keeps on going. Makes you damned mad! Chuck

    With child sex ofenders, there is no 'cure'. A few years ago, child sex offenders in several prisons across this country were asked what they would do, upon release from prison. The majority response was "...find a kid!" There are so many folks in this country who feel the prison system works. Personally, I do not want a child sex offender in my neighborhood or any other neighborhood, for that matter. Chuck
