  7. A young priest woke one Sunday morning, to a beautiful sunny day. His first thoughts were of being on the golf cours and not saying mass. The young priest made-up his mind and called-in sick. The Bishop told him he would have Father O'Brian fill-in for him and to get well soon. The young priest loaded his clubs in his car and headed for the links. When he arrived at the golf course... noone was there playing golf. He thought; 'This is great!' At the first tee, he belted one straight down the fairway and watched the ball take a couple bounces and in the cup! A hole in one! The young priest was beside himself. On to the second... a hole in one! Again on the third and so-on. At the 17th. with a streak of holes in one he thought to himself how un-believable this was, when he heard a voice from above... 'WHO, ARE YOU GOING TO TELL?' Chuck
  8. Yes! and as a master rigger what must you have in hand that enables you to alter or modify a system from its manufactured configuration? Authorization (in writing) from the representative of the FAA or the Manufacture. The bulletin issued from Sunpath states that they "Strongly" advise against removal or disconnecting the RSL System. First I do not consider this bulletin to represent an authorization issued to myself to allow me personally as the master rigger to change this system when the same document "Strongly" advises against it. How do I justify my decision for removal in a court of law when I have been left out in the cold with the wording of the bulletin? So I am left to justify on my own behalf these considered exceptions that are mentioned? These exceptions are not named or identified which leaves the barn door open for interpertation. Smells of the saying scape goat! Just my opinion. ___________________________________ I tend to agree with you. The use of the words 'strongly advise against it' does leave room for interpretation. If, they were to state that it 'must' not be removed, that's quite clear. Don't remove it! When the words 'strongly' advise it not be removed, to me, that leaves it wide open for interpretation. Also, it has been my experience that the FAA will 'back' the manufacturer. Until there is more clarification on this matter... I'm not touching one. Chuck

  15. _____________________________________ Thanks! I've read and heard of 'freaks' but, I was referring to 'average'. I have seen some rather large whitetails up North, never any 400 - 600 lbs. You are so right, about fewer roads and fewer drivers. Thanks, again for your in-put. Chuck
  16. hitting a 400-600lb deer ________________________ 400 - 600 lb. deer? That would have to be a North American record! I think, the biggest deer I've ever seen was maybe... 200-lbs. Chuck

  19. Absolutely. Surely ANY thesis on politics or society or international relations (no matter how well researched or reasoned) written in the light of what was happening in 1969 would only be good for a Roll-On-The-Floor-Laugh today. Times change, society changes, even political parties shift. At best her thesis is irrelevant (in all senses of the word). Why dig unless it's to try and rake up ancient irrelevant muck? Mike. _____________________________________ The 'muck-raking' just draws attention away from the real issues. All these campaigns wind-up to be just personality conflicts'. We don't really 'see' the person until they are in office. 9 out of 10 times... it's too late. Chuck
  20. __________________________________ Yup! We all, did/do things in our youth, only to regret them later. I don't agree now, with my thinking when I was in my 20's. Folks just like to dredge-up dirt. I really don't care for Hillary but, let it lie-down. Chuck Don't get me wrong - back in 1970 my PhD thesis was state of the art and got bunches of cites in the scientific literature - I don't regret it at all. It's just that is has long been surpassed by more recent research. This thread is just one more example of the GOP trash machine in operation - Pelosi "I want my jet", Al Gore's house, Hillary's thesis. All absurd attacks. _________________________________ Time, changes everything... it's inevitible. Yessir! I've noticed a pattern of this about every 4-yrs. Chuck
  21. I don't care one bit for Hillary Clinton but, she was a kid at the time that window got broken. I think, more attention should be paid to what she has done as an adult. Personally, I feel she should do the right thing and just drop out of the presidential race. Chuck
