Plus, it padded his pocket-book decently. You're right there! Now, they're finding they can make ethanol out of corn cobs and corn husks. That should lower the price of corn for humans and animal feed. Still, I don't see ethanol making a big splash in this country. Not even with NASCAR going to a partial ethanol fuel next year. Chuck -
Or we could apply the lesson we learned from alcohol prohibition and repeal the laws we've passed making street drugs illegal. With no profits the dealers won't have anything to fight over. Booze isn't enough? I don't understand what it is with folks having to 'alter' their state of mind. I know, things like that have been around since the dawn of man but where does it stop? It's not just weed, it's the crack, black-tar, coke, meth, acid and so-on. I could probably go along with legalizing weed but the others I mentioned, no, I couldn't go along with that. I do understand why they call it dope!

Nope Over here, the belief is it's the drug laws, not the recreational users, that are causing demand. Drugs are a multi-billion dollar business and I don't know of any laws that created it. It's the demand by not just those good ol' 'recreational users' but addicts, as well. The violence in Mexico is due to cartels trying to gain control of drug routes into the U.S. The cartels don't care about anything but making more money. They use violence to intimidate and if it means shooting at a school house, they don't care. Chuck
