Here where I live, they're getting $3.389 for regular. Talk around these parts is, we're looking at $4.00 a gallon by the end of 2011 and $5.00 by 2012. What I don't understand is, the greedy bastards producing gasoline are making billions. Their higher eschalon employees are getting huge salaries plus huge bonuses. That's bull-shit! The way I see it, the gasoline producers are pricing themselves out of the market and opening the gates for more electric cars and ethanol powered vehicles. Absolutely no consideration for folks that are having a hard time paying for gas now and need to get to work. Chuck

I guess you have a different view of what constitutes "political correctness" than I do. I see it as a social restriction (not a legal one) on the use of certain terms that indicate inappropriate stereotypes. Really, though, using those terms these days reflects more on the character of the person using the language than it does on the target of the words. I see it as coming down to "being considerate of other's feelings". Sometimes it does get silly, as in "African-American" vs "black" or "negro", but seriously who would refer to someone they didn't know very well as "nigger"? Sure, sometimes peoples feelings might get hurt, but that should be for cause, such as when you have to fire an employee because they can't do the job they were hired for. Agreed I hear this sometimes, and I understand the sentiment but wonder how that works in the real world. Do you treat people disrespectfully until they somehow prove to you they deserve respect? I doubt that very much. If I meet someone and right off the bat they treat me disrespectfully, my inclination is usually not to try to figure out how I can "earn" their respect. Usually I'll just dismiss them as not being a person I want to invest the time/effort to get to know. I find it works better to treat people respectfully until they show they don't deserve it. That I absolutely agree with. Life's a lot more fun if you're able to laugh at yourself. Don Basically, I treat people the way they treat me. If, they come across in a way that I don't agree with, I leave them alone. I don't hold grudges. It's a waste of time. I'm not into 'politically correct' at all. I wasn't raised that way.
