  1. A horse can 'spook' and a big wreck is likely. A horse needs to be de-sensitised to city noises and what have you. A panicked horse is hard to handle, even when the rider is sober. Chuck
  2. Thank you, for the correction. It just all seems so silly. Whether in the U.S. or Canada. Chuck
  3. What I don't understand is, this song came-out about 1984... where was the protest, then? We had 'gay' people back then, I'm sure. Why, after 100-yrs. or more, people are just now protesting 'Tom Sawyer'? Yet, we have 'rap' (music?) that advocates beating women and killing cops and is a 'front' for illegal activities. Where is the sense... the logic? Too many people have just gotten too sensitive and it appears, nothing better to do than come-up with some silly protest. Bottom line to me is, it's just like their television or radio... change the channel. What happened to Mark Twain's or Mark Knopfler's 'freedom of speech or press? Chuck
  4. Just my opinion... I don't think, in this day and age, it'd be too wise to openly carry a pistol. Whether there is a law in favor of it or not, People would see the pistol and go into a panic. Police would be all over you and bottom line... this ain't Dodge City. Chuck
  5. brown paper bag ?? or some other kind of carrying case/bag Are you referring to a gun or a jug of whiskey? Chuck
  6. Good grief! That's one of my favoritist songs ever! People wanting to re-write history books, music and everything else. When does it stop? Do people really think this world is supposed to be some cutesy, Disney type animated full-length feature film? All warm and fuzzy? Political correctness is disgusting on too many levels. Chuck
  7. I just can't believe anyone pays any attention to Palin,?! Still, there's no excuse for threatening and killing someone. Someone just like (the target subject) is going to come after them and after them and... Chuck
  8. You'll understand in about 20 - 30-yrs. ...and I'll take wisdom over youth,any day! Chuck Chuck
  9. To a degree, they are right. In order to legally ship HazMat items, you must ensure proper handling and conditions -- something that will cost far more than you are probably willing to pay. ...or pot! Funny story... My buddy works for UPS as a manager of some sort. He says they get packages all the time that smell like pot. Fortunately, here in Colorado, it's legal on a state level, so there's nothing that UPS can do. Anywho, an employee a few months ago was caught trying to steal such a package. The resulting actions taken were firing the employee, re-sealing and sending the package back off. What a dummy! Folks would be amazed at how much dope... of all kinds, is shipped by Fed-Ex and UPS. 10. You missed a heckuvan opportunity! You could've cashed in on that deal. Chuck

  12. I've eaten a lot of Southern cooking and Cracker Barrel doesn't even come close. All their shit is pre packaged and canned... yuck. Chuck
  13. come on, mc'donalds every half a year or so.. even i cant resist that; and i ALWAYS cook my own stuff.. You're so much better off, cooking for yourself. I haven't been in a McDonald's since 1984... and don't see ever going there. Chuck that would probably be the year i was at mcdonalds first.. their fries are awesome, and i like a cheeseburger every now and then; and i think their food is way better than burgerking, but anyway.. They used to be really good when they cooked their fries in lard. Chuck
  14. I went back and did some searching on the incident. From some film of the stabbing, a long barrelled pistol could be seen in the man's hand. Because of this footage, the Angel's involved were acquitted and the case was closed... forever in 2005. I spoke from memory. At my age, not a good idea. Chuck
  15. Yep...they saved Mick Jaggers life! Not from the accounts I've read about the incident. The Angels stabbed an innocent audience member who was just looking to get a better view of the band. according to Mick and the other Stones, that stayed with them for a long time and they realized the mistake they made hiring the Angels for security. source: 'Stone Alone' by Bill Wyman Chuck I believe the guy had a gun in his hand when he was stabbed.. I guess that's one way to get a better view. That's the Angel's version! Chuck

  18. As long as people copy & paste without attribution, I guess we'll never know. Yup. Chuck
  19. All those chain, so-called 'restaurants' are alike. Those roadhouses and etc. It's all prepared in some factory, frozen or canned and shipped-out. Like you, I can't understand why any of them are still in business. I refuse to eat at any of those slop-chutes. Chuck
