Um, that is EXACTLY what i Just stated. I read it straight from the manual just like you did. Your initial post was only half correct, you didn't state the scenerio where the student cypress WILL fire at 1000 feet. Again this really is a side note since the incident in question was a no pull which I indicated earlier the student cypres would fire at 750 in that scenerio.

i like them both, being able to fly relative and do various things while relative (forinstance a barrel roll up and over the person you're staying relative to) takes skill.. the many times i've jumped with others i haven't maxed out my suit or come close to it (see the vidoes we have posted, my legs are bent most of the time) but i enjoy going solo and seeing what my suit can really do.. best of both worlds I guess try doing some jumps with "normal" people too, those are fun - rodeos, hybrids, etc. I can actually stay with a sit flyer in my suit...

ahh wow you got any pics? where are all the handles?? are these modified normal rigs or rigs made specifically for this purpose? -
Does anyone know the actual number of fatalities so far in 2003? It seems like it is higher than the norm, perhaps it's just because i'm hearing more about them and it's right on target for the norm.. anyone know?

i have a question about intentional cutaways.. on an intentional cutaway you have a normal rig (reserve & main) and a belly mount reserve.. so lets say your main malfunctions like it is "supposed to" you cut it away and you deploy your back mount reserve? then lets say your reserve malfunctions - you can't cut that away so what is a belly mount going to do for you say you have a lineover on the reserve. -
BTFU! No t-shirt? hehe :)

I got slammed on my openening today
kevin922 replied to CanuckInUSA's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
i had one of my worst openings a few weeks back during a BM jump it wasn't line twists or anything like that but it flung me so hard so quick to one side I literally thought I had just broke my neck (I heard it crack 3 times) i quickly realized I could still move everything and it was all good but i was terrified for a split second - you don't realize how much stuff goes through your head in a split second when you actually thought you just paralyzed yourself for a hobby. Can't wait to getup again :) -
During a demo you should not be over the crowd in freefall, and if you need to get rid of the bracket, you will need to get rid of it completly. I feel it is better to KISS. Sparky People do use smoke under canopy ya know, and if you're coming into a stadium with seating all around you'll come over someone at some point.
-
It's semi true, student cypreses will activate @ 1000 feet if you are decending slower than freefall but greater than 29 mph. The incident in question about the no pull would be correct however, it would activate at 750. Kevin

STUART, Florida (AP) -- A woman was arrested for dousing herself with perfume, spraying the house with bug killer and disinfectant, and burning scented candles in an attempt to seriously injure her chemically sensitive husband, prosecutors said. Police charged Lynda Taylor, 36, with aggravated battery Thursday. David Taylor, 46, is disabled due to allergies that resulted from exposure to toxic mold and hazardous chemicals as a construction worker, his doctors say. That exposure netted him $150,000 in a recent workers compensation settlement. The fragrant incident occurred on April 4 during a conversation the couple were about separating after three years of marriage. Taylor told investigators that his wife became enraged when he refused to give her half of his settlement. "Lynda came in the kitchen wearing perfume and applied some to (her daughter). Then went around the house spraying Lysol and even sprayed some in my face," David Taylor wrote in his complaint. Taylor's physician provided investigators with a letter confirming that he suffers from extreme chemical sensitivity, "including all fragrances, air fresheners and other volatile chemicals," and that his wife is aware of it. Lynda Taylor's attorney Karen Steger said the charge is a misuse of the criminal justice system. "The guy's a faker," she said. "He just wants to gain an advantage in the divorce case." David Taylor's lawyer, Cynthia Grooms Marvin, said she could not talk about the case.
