    level 2 DONE! it was awesome! finally got to jump with a parachute on my back!!! aaah it was so sick. special thanks to Yong and Mark for your training. And mark stop looking at my ass while i practice my turns! lol and just my luck i got line twists haha. it was not bad, maybe about 2 or 3 twists. after i cleared them i was sooo pumped. my first slight malfunction! already got 15 minutes of tunnel time next sat followed by my level 3. if i do well here i was told i could skip to lvl 5 and take tunnel in place of level 4. pretty stocked. cant wait to fly again... wish me luck.     im sure after you enrolled in your aff classes...you knew too i think the best thing for most is just not talking about it. although i do think bringing out the family to the dz is good because they can see first hand that people enjoy themselves and its not AS bad as everyone thinks. Granted of course you WILL die if something goes really wrong, although the chances of that happening to someone that day are very slim. i took my mom out to the dz for my aff1 and it helped her a lot. she loved the people there and how friendly everyone was. but i can definitely see this becoming an issue with the future wifey Hi, my names Jon, and I love to skydive.

    personally my favorite part of skydiving is sitting at the edge of the door getting ready to jump out. I LOVE this part, just looking back inside at everyone as they stare at you and giving them the thumbs up or whatever as you jump out is the BEST. There is no other feeling like realizing you are about to jump. I think this is more exciting than the jump itself. well so far anyway lol because i only have 2 freaking jumps. i absolutely love watching the ground as i come towards the door Hi, my names Jon, and I love to skydive.

    at what point did your families "accept" the fact that you were going to be doing this forever? i took my mom out to the DZ last weekend to kind of ease her mind on the fact that skydiving has become a part of my life and it seems to have calmed her nerves a bit. i still have those family members and friends who do not agree with the sport at all. what to do with these people?!     besides having to jump another tandem due to wind, it went great! still counted as my level1 and i got my level 2 scheduled for this coming sat. officially addicted!! cant wait until this training is over and i can do a few jumps per DZ visit! Hi, my names Jon, and I love to skydive.

    Pretty much but wasn't a waste. It still counted as my level 1. At my DZ theres very little wind from open to around 2pm. Class was done by around 4 and by that time it was over 14mph. So they gave me the choice to either stay and try to wait it out, come back another day, or just jump tandem and get 40 towards my next jump. So i went with that. Now my level 2 is cheaper Hi, my names Jon, and I love to skydive.

    well the last 2 jumps i've used the galaxy (i believe) that the DZ provided and i must say that big ass O ring is not comfortable at all, especially when flaring. any different kinds of altimeter that doesn't require any o ring around my fingers? thanks Hi, my names Jon, and I love to skydive.

    sorry. by landing solo i meant that i had to do a "working" tandem. still went through the motions up until the final leg. they took 40 bux off the jump because of that. officially hooked. Hi, my names Jon, and I love to skydive.

    I love this place! From the moment I walked in for the first time, all the girls at the office where super nice. Everyone there was so friendly. The tandem instructors where all very polite and did great job with me and my friends. photographers are all funny and friendly as well. Only complaint I have is the fact that the student landing zone is really messy. Needs to be cleaned up. Full of bushes and dirt. Also the damm wind sucks in the afternoon when you take your first AFF you probable wont be able to jump alone that day because of it. Good thing is they offer you a $40 discount if that does happen, and you still get credit for the level 1. Other then that everything was awesome!

    Personally i have mixed feelings. Due to being a new "skydiver", i feel like after your first aff1 jump you can say your a "skydiver". I have a tandem under my belt and tomorrow will be my AFF1. i wouldn't count tandem just due to the fact that you dont have to really do anything. but then again i think once i have my license, i wont consider anything less a real "skydiver".     thanks all for the comments. haha yes i will try to relax and enjoy myself. and hopefull i dont loose awareness of altitude with all the excitement. ya elsinore was awesome. good people. but i need to locate my camera guy. he did a great job and i owe him a tip. short red hair, freckles. if someone knows him let me know! will they let you bring your own helmet cam? thinking about buying one.     Well after jumping my first(and last ) tandem last weekend, i decided i need to do it again. So next weekend ill be going for my AFF1. Is there anything i should know before going out.
