"I find the negative attitude from people at the DZ mainly stems from jealousy. Suddenly you are involved in something they can not do / won't do and they will focus negativity toward you for this." ______________________________________________ Spoken like a freeflyer Cman # 260799 Rat for Life - Fly till I die When them stupid ass bitches ask why

Here is a tip I discovered doing solo headdowns that helped me. One of the main things you need is a visual reference. There is a line where the sky meets the ground on the horizon. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. When you are headdown, look straight ahead. That line should be right in front of your eyes. If you look straight ahead and the line is "above" where your looking, this means your flying on your back side. If you look straight ahead and that line is "below" where your looking, this means your flying on your front side. Put that line straight in front of your eyes and follow your head. hope this makes sense. Rat for Life - Fly till I die When them stupid ass bitches ask why

last i was there it was a Cessna DZ. Outdoor packing. structures are pretty much improved trailers. grass runway. the DZO is an experienced rw guru and very nice and helpful. the people were cool and friendly. never heard any safety issues about the place. drive a little further to San Marcos and you will be glad you did. I totally agree. That was the whole idea behind the Gravity Rats Freefly Revolution. We saw some really excellent flying by teams that were committed to improvement through competition. Your skills improve much faster and it is really fun. do you guys like the structured compulsory rounds or free rounds better? anybody interested in another rat comp next year? I have over 1200 jumps, weigh 170lbs, and I fly a Spectre 190. i can land it at night/off the DZ/backing up in the wind i can have line twist all the way to the canopy and she flies straight. dont let people talk you into a smaller canopy. Follow me and we will grow old together

Experienced Texas freefliers (and Brandon) should commit next weekend to practicing big way skills in preperation for the Record Attempts in July. We clearly have the talent to put a record together if we commit to the effort. okay men - who's going with me GR1

_________________________________________________ the best skydivers out there are always concerned about safety _________________________________________________ As a freeflier, I have been around some real experienced and safety concious jumpers. right equipment, altitude aware, breakoff procedures, 360s and barrell roll tracks to clear your air, ect.ect.ect. Then they get under their kleenex and trade safety for something else I know a great freeflier with stringent safety requirements to fly with him. He has broken his femur three times and continues to downsize - now from a 120 to a 78. whatthefuk read the fatality reports that say low turn under canopy and look at what they fly. Just asking for it. Unfortunately they are my friends and I got to stand by and watch the aftermath my 190 is fat and slow and I stand it up every time, whats wrong with that?

what is the actual contest they are having?

Thanks for bringing it up again Josh

levin - we need to learn to sit or stand so we can do totems you first

Thanks Dave, I always wondered what the trademark was about. If you are a committed freeflyer for any time at all you begin to respect the people that came before you. I got my AD test from John Matthews and it means more to me than most any other thing I own. I have a great deal of respect for Olav - not because he is the greatest or better than me - but because he had the vision to do what noone did before him.
