For me it was simply a matter of choice between flying a fairly static body position or flying a number of dynamic positions. Basically "arching" and "hugging the ball" just didn't do it for me. Rat for Life - Fly till I die When them stupid ass bitches ask why -

if your used to flat flying, a freefly dive can get away from you. Your internal clock has to be reprogammed. Use that dytter. I loaned a guy my helmet and dytter once because he didn't have one and I was done for the weekend. He put it in his trunk. Next day - Cypress fire and two canories out. This is a problem that is occurring with greater frequency as freefly grows in popularity. If not a student rig - some other rig that is not suitable for freeflying. I sometimes feel like a dick suggesting they get some appropriate gear before they jump out - but I feel it is my responsibility to at least tell them.
