Thank you That was played at the Addison, TX Octoberfest. We played it on a Blu Ray disc player and a 32 inch HDTV. It really caught peoples attention. I edited the video first and then did the music for the video. Because this was supposed to be playing continuesly at the booth I wanted to make it longer. I am glad I cut it off. editing the music took a lot longer then I expected and was much harder then editing the video. I didn't have a lot of time to work on it. Surprisingly one of my team mates wanted to know who the artist was that did the music! I think dropzones should put together a few of their own sound tracks and use them for tandems and maybe create a new one once a month. Eventually they would have a nice collection of sound tracks to choose from. btw I only had about a weeks notice to put this together. With work and skydiving I really didn't have a lot of time.

I was just using these examples to make my point. Which requires more is a matter of opinion and well every one has one.

Readiness really depends on what you are wanting to do. Tandem video would require more then say 4 way RW video. 4 way VRW would require more then 2 way freefly video. You should be proficient in what ever discipline you want to video. Freeflying usually takes a lot more time to be proficient at then RW. You don't want to be flailing around while trying to shoot video.

The laws are what the laws are regardless of what you think they should be. It isn't all that expensive to be legal. I bought a copy of Acid Studio 6 and used it to do the music for a video for an Octoberfest booth for Skydive Dallas. It was much more diffucult then using some elses music. I just used the sounds and loops that came with it, but worth the effort. Yea the music isn't as good as what you get commercially, but it felt good to know that the whole project was done by me and I don't have to worry about someone claiming I infringed on their rights. I did all the editing and shot most of the video with the exception of two clips. When I get home I will post it online so you can check it out. It's not that hard to be legal. There are plenty of royalty free sounds and loops that are very cool and and don't cost a lot. If you spend some time you can put together a sound track that sounds professional. For my next project I will be buying some sounds and loops from SonyCreativeSoftware.com. They are not that expensive and sound great.

Hey it keeps your post at the top and draws attention. On a serious note, any team that is looking for a camera guy should respond or PM you right away. I am disappointed that the rest of your team won't be able to make it. I was looking forward to some friendly rivalry. I hope there is a team out there looking for a camera guy.

The PC1000 should fit fine in the FF2 I know one guy that is using both the FF2 and a PC1000.

It was our last training weekend till Nationals. I really felt it Monday, still sore today.

From 592 to 10,089 mmm... It really makes you wonder about these Gravity Rat guys. Are they really skydivers? Or are they just beacon riders only? The plot thickens and the mystery remains. Who are the Gravity Rats? And what are they anyway? I think heavy amounts of that mystery elixir called tequila is required to solve this mystery!

um yeah, All you have to do is stay in one place and the flyers just present grips to the video. Right?! How hard could that be?

Before I had finished AFF I had learned to flat pack. It wasn't till I had around 70 or 80 jumps that I learned to PRO pack. I have only hired a packer maybe 20 times total. These days I always pack for myself. Although I may start paying a packer. This last weekend I did 22 jumps total and packed for myself. I wouldn't be so tired and sore today if I had paid a packer.

At 592 jumps, are you sure you are qualified??!!

I also jump at Skydive Dallas. I think the North Texas Skydiving Center is the one at Caddo Mills? I have jumped there but it was about 8 years ago, so I can't really comment on them. I do know some of the people that jump there and they are good people. I have over 1000 jumps at Skydive Dallas. For a big dropzone Skydive Dallas has more of a small dropzone feel to it. We try to keep everyone involved no matter how many jumps they have. Skydive Dallas has some top notch instructors that are very friendly and are there to make your skydiving experience the best. Damn that sounded like an advertisement.

I have almost 300 jumps with the FF3 and an HC5 and have been very happy with it.

Shouldn't Mandrin be in the Open class?

As far as I know he is still welcome at Skydive Dallas.

There isn't a full list that I know of. We can start a list. Team Vibe will be competing in Advanced class. I know Team Evol from Dallas was planning on being there. I am sure it will be just as much fun or more so. The challenge of competing will be exciting. Meeting and hanging out some the top freefliers in the world. The parties! Open looks like it will be a close match. It will be exciting to see who comes out on top. I am pretty sure there will be more teams in the Advanced class then there were last year. I am looking forward to the added competition and meeting some new people.

Nationals is just a few weeks away and I am already getting excited!!!! This is going to be a lot of fun. Are you guys ready to compete??!!!!

I tried unchecking that and having it checked and no difference either way. I sent an email in to their product support. Hopefully it's an easy fix. I am glad I didn't install this update till after I was done with my latest project. It makes it a pain in the ass to search for a specific clip.

I just installed 8.0c and now my preview window isn't working like it used to. When I click on a video in my media manager it will only play the audio. It looks like the preview will only play the video that is in the timeline. Did this happen to you?
