Or maybe they just don't like the idea of hundreds of kids and over a thousand adults being gassed to death by their own government. Does this action remind you of anything from 20th century history? There is a REASON why chemical weapons were banned after World War 1, you know. People often make issues political, when in reality they are moral. I don't think the US Gov really cares about the children. Bombing Syria will not make them safer.
-
I am not convinced that this push from the Obama administration to go to war with Syria has anything to do with chemical weapons. It's been very clear that Obama wants this war and he is just trying to drum up support. And don't bother to claim they aren't wanting to go to war. Bombing is an act of war. It's same as how a woman can't be just a little pregnant. http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/is-the-united-states-going-to-go-to-war-with-syria-over-a-natural-gas-pipeline I find this much more compelling then the bullshit Obama and John Kerry are pushing.

Never underestimate the stupidity of politicians. The US may just posture, but it wouldn't surprise me if they attack Syria.
-
It seems that Saudi Arabia is the country that want's the US to attack Syria the most.
-
Yeah, I can see the US attacking Syria and then getting dragged into a long drawn out war. It's like any fight... "Everyone has a plan till you get punched in the mouth." It wouldn't surprise me if this triggered WW3. US bombs Syria so Iran and Syria attack Israel. Israel retaliates against Syria and Iran.. All out ground and air war starts and drags the US in to help out Israel. Russian gets more involved.. Soon half the world is participating in killing people in the middle east.

How is any military action going to improve the situation? Any military action is essentially war.

http://www.zerohedge.com/contributed/2013-09-03/point-point-rebuttal-us-case-war-syria I really don't care if chemical weapons were used in Syria or if it was rebels using them or Syrian army. I don't see how getting involved will help the situation at all.
-
I don't see how getting involved will help the US or in any way improve the situation over there. I think it will only make things worse.

Hmm.. apparently it wasn't a priority for Interstate Battery. I never asked about the jumpsuits. Never even thought about it till now.
-
I have no idea. I am not in the commercial and had nothing to do with it, other then observing them at the dropzone. It's just the usual lawyer's disclaimer would be my guess.

I agree, it's more then most whuffos get to see. Shows a more realistic view of skydiving.
-
From what I was told this was all done in a very short time frame. In a matter of weeks. So no time to build new jumpsuits. The skydiving part was done over two days, maybe three. I know it was done over a Saturday and Sunday not sure about Monday as I have to work weekdays. But then again someone always has to come up with a negative critic.

http://youtu.be/reTpk-phw4s I don't know if anyone has posted this yet, but this was shot at Skydive Dallas. Pretty cool. The skydving was organized by Al Hively and Scott Latinis. It was fun to watch this whole thing being organized. They all did a great job. Looks great.

This is the last sentence in that article. This should clue you into the fact that there is no simple solution and that none of us know enough about the situation to even propose a solution. That's why I think they should come out and be honest about the problem and ask for help. I am sure there are many smart engineers around the world that would accept their request.

That was what I was thinking of and maintaining a frozen dam indefinitely didn't seem possible. Having a dam would mean creating a lake that continuously increases in size. So the dam would have to increase in size to keep up with the in flow of water. I keep thinking of friends of mine that complained of a water leak in their kitchen. The apartment complex maintenance men's solution was to use duct tape to stop the leak. Creating a frozen dam is similar.
-
Well, I think they need to be honest with how bad the situation is and then ask for help. I am sure there are many very smart engineers that would be happy to travel to Japan to help come up with a solution. It seems to me that they have not been honest about the situation and are having trouble coming up with a solution. From what I have read there is no easy solution. One of the solutions suggested seems pretty stupid. It was freezing about a 1 mile long section of the ground as a dam, in order to stop the ground water leakage. That's a very temporary and expensive idea. You can't reasonably expect to maintain that long of a frozen length of ground for very long.

I posted 2 good methods to find a leak. 1) Locate where the water is presenting itself as a leak (and follow it back) 2) Start narrowing sources down. I never mentioned humans. They used unmanned subs to fix the oil leak in the gulf....etc. You are speaking from ignorance. It's not a simple task like stopping the inflow of water. The water is underground and coming down from the mountains. There is no valve to just turn it off.
-
Suits only work to a certain point, from what I have read it's beyond that point. The leak is underground and it's much more complicated then the simple scenario you or bignugget are describing. Pretending that you know everything about the scenario and then Monday morning quarterbacking the situation is pretty silly. Yes something needs to be done. Pretending that there is an easy solution and they are just too stupid see it is dumb and condescending.
-
I think you are ignoring one important aspect in your genius plan. Radiation. The radiation levels are high enough that humans can't go everywhere they would need to in order to find the leak. Also the water is draining down from the mountains. You really need to do more research before you stick your foot in your mouth.
