    I'm a high maintenance bitch with hotels. It smelled like smoke so bad I got sick with my sinuses. The carpets felt greasy under my feet (then I made a towel walkway from the bed to the bathroom and housekeeping kept picking it up when I told them not to). Same thing with the comforter. I balled it up and put it in the corner of the room because it smelled so freaking bad. Then I would Lysol down the bed, even the sheets (and I brought my own comforter). Housekeeping would then put the disgusting, crusty comforter back on the bed on top of my clean comforter. And the bathroom was moldy. UGH. I was afraid to sleep with the lights out the first night because I thought roaches would crawl all over me. UGHHHHHH Always be kinder than you feel.

    I get a combination of summer/fall fever this time of year. I try to pack in things I've been meaning to do when it was warm, before it gets cold!! And I loveeee fall. I can't wait to be able to break out my turtlenecks and boots.

    I blame it on a densely populated state. Rush, rush, rush or someone else will take my place and then I'm fucked. OR Big fish/little pond syndrome. That's what I call it when I deal with certain law enforcements agencies and they try to impress me/bully me with their "authority" to get their agency first in line for certain projects. In the last month I've had to say, "This Joe Cop shit doesn't work on me. My Dad was a cop for 33 years and I was married to a cop. I know all the psychological manipulations and they don't fly with me." He almost shit himself. Always be kinder than you feel.
