I think you can get closer to McGuire than Hamilton. It's decent area but I've never lived there and don't know anything about the real estate. My experience is mostly lunch time going to the shopping center on Route 130. Did you look in Burlington County, maybe Springfield, Mansfield or Mount Holly Townships? Not as "crowded" as Hamilton, I believe. I roll through those places every day on my work commute up Route 206 or 295. As for humidity, welcome to the beach area. Yup, hot and humid and it hasn't changed. Some fun jumpers are into going to the climbing walls (I don't do this so I don't know anything about it). But I do think there's at least 2 places closeby? One in Mount Laurel and another in Philadelphia, I think? Not positive. As far as hiking and biking, etc., just keep in mind it's pretty flat here and you won't find any "big" hills or stuff like that. Let me think more about what's going on in that area and post more later. BTW - I'm thinking the dropzone you're thinking of is Skydive Jersey Shore? I think they're just a small Cessna DZ IIRC. I've never been there. Always be kinder than you feel.

I work in Trenton, right next to Hamilton. Friday nights on 295 to Cross Keys SUCKS BALLS. Especially where it merges with 42. I live right outside of Atlantic City. You're in a good location for exploring so many places. AC, Philadelphia, NYC. See you at CK!

WOW!! I'm so happy for you they're able to fix it. And it sounds like it may be not only valuable because it's a family heirloom but also because of the craftsmanship and materials? Double win! Lucky boy!! Always be kinder than you feel.

Good luck. I hope you are able to get it back to working condition. I'm sure whomever you pass it down to in 100 years, of course, would cherish the lovely piece of your family's history. Love that kind of stuff and the stories that go along with it!! Not to hijack but I have my wedding china with no one specific (right now) to pass it down to. Makes me sad. Always be kinder than you feel.

Oh... that's nice. I collect little clocks. Reminds me how precious time really is. Hope you can get it working. What an awesome thing to inherit. Will you pass it down one day? Always be kinder than you feel.

Exactly! I imagine some pretentious person trying to impress someone will gladly fork the money over. I can only imagine how said whuffo will react if the weather isn't cooperating on the day they want to show off? Always be kinder than you feel.

Happy Friday! I hope everyone has a great weekend! The weather here (Atlantic City) is supposed to be pretty good except for the possibility of some rain showers on Sunday. I've been in such a wicked funk lately. I need some sunshine. Possibly the Longport beach tomorrow depending upon how I feel. I need to get out of the house and get away from the noise of the landscaper and the noisy neighbors. How I ever thought I'd be comfortable with living in such a closely packed neighborhood I'll never know. I hate this place so much! Well, have a happy weekend and remember what my amazing Dad used to say: "If you can't be good, be careful!" Always be kinder than you feel.

I knew i liked you To tell you the truth I'm not exactly a huge Bon Jovi fan either. They may have been a staple of my "youth" here in NJ but his politics have killed it for me. Always be kinder than you feel.

What??? I thought every NJ resident was required to be a Springsteen fan. My first and ONLY Springsteen concert was in Philadelphia in 1985. I had no idea the concerts were 3 friggin' hours long. It was torture. I just can't stand his mumble-fuck voice singing. Yeah, I think I'm the only NJ person I know who honestly hates his music. Always be kinder than you feel.

The Beatles. This sing is the only exception: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aY7FDN4XWFE That fucking mattress commercial with this song can make me a blubbering mess. That song kills me. And I HATE Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. I do have one exception: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3eu1gW-bQ8 Always be kinder than you feel.

I loveeee crispy, well -done (but not burnt, no flimsy fat) bacon. When did it become so popular that everyone's making tons of new fangled recipes and now this: http://www.tropicana.net/events-and-promotions/event/59-bacon-week I saw somewhere a bacon taco shell and also one of the casinos is advertising a full pound of bacon as a breakfast special. WTF. So many people are ticking time bombs with their health (adults and kids) and make horrible food decisions. I just think it's gluttonous. Always be kinder than you feel.

I'm reminded of a line from an Everything But The Girl song about a relationship gone sour: 'the ring that cost more than the car'. As for letting yours go over a golf course - I wonder if you got a hole in one?
-
How much was it worth? Should have sold it and use the money toward jumps, gear, etc. Let's just say I could've paid for the 16 x 32 inground pool I had installed and the 6' solid vinyl fence around my entire backyard. Mucho. My Dad told me I was stupid but to me it was a jinxed piece of jewelry that no one else should have. I think the best thing was a couple of years ago my xH asked me if I still had it. Told him what I did with it. Priceless. I always tell girls when they're talking about wanting "a rock" from their boyfriend that the size of the diamond he gets for you has nothing to do with the amount of love in his heart for you. As evidenced by my ring vs. getting fucked over. I don't even care if I ever get another engagement ring one day. I'd be thrilled with a plain, gold wedding band (that's what I had when I was married. I picked it out.). Always be kinder than you feel.
-
The only time I wore a ring while I jumped was when I, after my divorce, wore my engagement ring on a solo (have to check my logbook as I don't think I had my A license just yet) and started pulling to get it off to chuck it to the blue sky. I let it go at about 10K or so. It felt goood to get that out of my life. That was in 2008. I was at Cross Keys and I was over the golf course. I wonder if anyone ever found it? Always be kinder than you feel.

Ugh... got one Friday afteroon. Friday night the non-stop runny nose and low fever started. Then it was really miserable Sunday... thought I was feeling better so I scheduled a facial and massage at a spa for Monday afternoon. During the facial I started to get dizzier and thought I was spiking a fever. Went to the massage a little while later and the massage therapist told me my face felt like I was burning up with fever. I felt like a truck ran me over in the course of about 2 hours. I've never in my life end a massage early (I'm a total spa slut) but I asked her to stop, I got up, got dressed and then had the longest drive home (20 minutes) of my life. I'm still feeling shitty but I can't imagine it's the true flu. I'm not getting the shot next year. I'll take my chances, the illness came on pretty fast and then got nasty. Screw that. Always be kinder than you feel.

I almost pissed myself at one of the comments on the article: "I hope he wasn't the Nigerian prince who was sending me $47,000,000." Distasteful but I admit I really laughed. Always be kinder than you feel.

Because what little immediate family I have suck balls. Fights over money/inheritances ruin families. Just sayin'. Debbie Downer tonight. Sorry. There is a VERY good reason I moved to the far NW corner of our country... its about as far as I can get away from my family... and still be in the lower 48 states. ALASKA would be farther but was SOO not going to happen. One winter in Fairbanks convinced me that would be REALLY stupid to run away any farther than Seattle
