    There is no pain whatsoever *after* a sigmoidoscopy/colonoscopy. All the pain occurs *during* one, and it is gas pain because they pump air in to inflate the plumbing so they can look around. (I had a no-anesthesia sigmoidoscopy once.) Imagine the worst gas pain you ever had, then quadruple it. OMG.... that's not fair to a human being. I just Googled what that is and Always be kinder than you feel.

    Was that the "truth serum" drug? The one where the nurses like to tell the wives if they've had any lingering questions now's the time to ask?? I watched that do down in a pre-op suite in 2001. It was hilarious!! But then again I was on some kind of sedative so everything was amusing. Always be kinder than you feel.

    I was like that for many, many, many years. I used to think working in a court around the worst in people (a lot of the time) ruined my trust of the good in people and made me so cynical that I didn't believe one word out of anyone's mouth. If you told me the sky was blue you could bet your ass I was going to look for myself for confirmation. I'm trying to work my way out of that. It's hard and it's taken a lot of work but I'm slowly seeing that not everyone is a liar, cheat, thief or has an agenda or ulterior motive. Always be kinder than you feel.

    What you just wrote is almost word for word of what went through my mind when I first read it. But, for many reasons, I choose to believe it's not BS. I worked around so many people who grew up in circumstances such as hers and I could always "feel" their pain, so to speak. I had such a great upbringing with my Dad it kills me to hear of people who missed out on having that joy and love. Maybe I'm just getting soft in my old age? If it turns out it is BS, like the waitress story around here, then I guess I still have that naive quality and that's ok. Always be kinder than you feel.

    Oh man . . . now we have to ask . . . Curtains and drapes? OMG. No way would I answer that. So it's hardwood then. I can see that term applying to a guy, but in this case there must be a better euphemism. Linoleum? Nah. Linoleum gets laid at least once. Always be kinder than you feel.

    YOU SUCK. I went to the little store by my house and they didn't have any whipped cream. I want an Irish Coffee. It's the fat free kind. It's so good I just eat it directly from the can sometimes. The sound freaks out my cat. I have a bottle of Fireball in my car that I thought about grabbing but I was too lazy and the garage is kinda chilly. I'm not a drinking alone type but it's cold, snow/ice is coming tomorrow. Just seemed like a good idea at the time. Always be kinder than you feel.

    That sounds very nice! I'm cheersing you with my RumChata Hot Chocolate. I just watch The Fast and the Furious for the first time ever. I don't know who left it at my house at some point, but tonight, I thank them. I want to watch all of the sequels. Now who has my copy of Into the Blue? That's what I was really looking for!! It's now Modern Family reruns since there's 300 channels and nothing on television.... Always be kinder than you feel.
