This TonFly mount is roughly a copy of the ZKulls Overkill mount. I don’t see the real reason for the extra top plate of the TonFly bracket. TonFly are great helmets; I have a CC1 myself. However, regarding the bracket, I’d look at the ZKulls option: http://www.rcb-lab.com/dual-mount "Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes"

Both RW and CRW sound "dorky". Yes join the future and call it Formation Skydiving. What other fun hobby has the word "work" in it? "Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes"

Arkansas gun range becomes the first to exclude Muslims
RMK replied to BillyVance's topic in Speakers Corner
This thread is so far off topic that I backed out of it (on my iPhone) and then clicked on the same topic again - not realising it was the one I was just reading. I agree re the above. Skydekker, I applaud your patience in trying to interject reason & and intelligence into this "children's table" of sociopolitical discussion. When we see certain avatars on SC, we have a look to see what "dumb shit" they're saying today - entertaining. "Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes" -
Best dropzone to move to in Europe for the summer?
RMK replied to flylikemoose's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Due to large cities usually having large commercial airports; you're never really that "close". Empuriabrava with short trips to Barcelona would be a good choice. It's also Europe's largest dropzone and a windtunnel next door. "Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes" -
Only drawback with the design is that for the 90% of the population that is right handed; they designed it with right-side buttons. What's you're best traveling tip? International or domestic
RMK replied to promise5's topic in The Bonfire
If you travel frequently, have a packing checklist. This will save you from forgetting important items when packing in a hurry. Keep separate travel items (in a dedicated travel bag) from your daily use items. If you do a last-minute raid of your bathroom cabinet while packing, you’re liable to forget something. You can keep copies of passports and travel docs on a USB stick and print out virtually anywhere if needed Go to a country to experience the people and culture without seeking out the stereotype or your preconceived ideas of the country. If you travel to foreign lands and never leave your “all inclusive” resort, you may have well just stayed home. On some of the “conventional wisdom” - pack what you need; of course don’t overdo it, but there is no prize for who has the smallest bag. I’ve lived on three continents and travelled to over 80 countries; YES there are many places where you can’t buy simple items you may need. - Don’t waste time exchanging money in your home country, if they have electricity – they have ATM machines and you’ll get better rates (also American Express Travellers Cheques are relics of the 1970’s, don’t even mention them) "Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes" -
My son wants an Xbox for his 8th Birthday. I’m very much a closet tech geek, so fully understand the tech specs, but have never cared for video games – so I’m out of the loop as to which is the best Xbox model the best and why. If someone could please save me an hour of internet searching on Xbox models/specs, it would be greatly appreciated. He’s also into Minecraft (which I honestly don’t get either). He has use of a computer, but I have no idea if it's nicer to play Minecraft on a PC vs Xbox. Thanks in advance for any advice "Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes"

You’ve accidentally posted this is Speakers Corner, which is for guns, politics & religion discussion. This is taking valuable space from our resident Bible thumpers, gun crazies & conspiracy theory nutcases - or as you refer to them in the US "Republicans" "Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes"

It's the US, they don't care about your safety: ..."Of course we're not going to close the range, obviously. We're not going to stop the range operation or the rental of automatic weapons whatsoever. ... What we're kind of kicking around right now is like at Disneyland, if you're not this tall you can't shoot." http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/28/arizona-gun-range_n_5730792.html However, please don't anyone show a bare woman's breast on television; it will harm the children. WTF? The solution/answer is a plywood cut-out of a cartoon animal with something idiotic like "you must be as tall as the smiling turtle to shoot on full auto" "Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes"

By coincidence, I was watching Ice Pilots on the Discovery Channel UK last night and they were testing a water bomber. The other people stayed out of the way; I wondered if it would hurt to stand underneath the drop ...apparently yes. "Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes"

Saw an article while reading my newspaper on the train earlier today. It starts with the headline “Daredevil hurt in Ice-Bucket Challenge”; I read on to see what silliness has occurred, but as I read on I see the name/location ...WTF?? I know him http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/503874/ALS-Ice-Bucket-Challenge-Man-hospital-400-gallons-water-firefighting-plane Most know him from his photo/video work in the industry. I've never seen an article (even in Florida or Texas) where leaving a skydiving rig around the home and someone taking it, jumping and killing themselves or others. Guns around the house or in the hands of the incompetent or just plain inept - kids getting killed; seems to happen every few days in the US "Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes"

At my home, doorbell rings and I press the intercom: JW's: "we're from the Church of Latter Day Saints; would you like to discuss everlasting life"? Me: "Will there be Jehovah Witnesses' in heaven"? Yawn. No. You are aware that media or courtroom bickering doesn’t have any actual affect on scientific data? Also, doesn’t matter how many people think either side is right/wrong. Same concept applies to news sources; if more people watch Network A News instead of Network B News, it doesn’t infer nor prove that Network A News is more factual. That's a good video. I recently attended an evening seminar/cocktail sponsored by the Economist Magazine on disruptive technologies; there were two main areas of focus - advances in robotics and 3D printing. They had live examples there from both areas. It was quite amazing to see where we're really at in both areas. Saw items unlike anything I've seen on television or YouTube, as much was shown by private companies in development. Yes simple logistics jobs of merely moving stuff from A to B will gradually disappear/lessen, but there are also huge swathes of the unskilled/semi-skilled workforce that are involved in producing/packaging/storing/distributing various kinds of widgets. Not too far into the future, much of our mass-produced widgets will be made at home or by stopping by your local 3D Print Shop. No matter what your view or forecast - the future will not be the place to be an unskilled worker. "Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes"

Riots over a shoting turn into free jordans and 40's
RMK replied to Anvilbrother's topic in Speakers Corner
Yes, also agree. US Police Departments would be far better served with training in psychology, sociology & negotiation skills than fucking around around at gun ranges trying to get "nice groupings" with their Glock. Something as simple as removing your sunglasses, so that they can see your eyes when talking to people helps greatly to diffuse an encounter. However, there are far more "Eric Cartman" style cops in their mirrored shades barking "You will respect my authoritiiii". Having lived in Europe, US and Asia, I've seen a range of policing styles. The US "Joe Commando" shit doesn't work. Though there are professional LEO's in the US, as a group, I have little to no respect for them. Maybe this event can serve as a catalyst to start changing the beat/taze/shoot culture of US policing. "Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes" -
I watched the full video; though well edited and incorporating some names/references to real scientists, it was mightily flawed. Not to be condescending, but were you able to really follow the first 16mins or just the last bit when he shifted to "Jesus mode"? The best lies/falsehoods are where you mix in some truth to add credibility. Here they did add some correct science, but diluted it with their own conjecture. I don't know much of this Johanan Raatz, but I'd personally debate him. Just because you read something somewhere (internet, book or magazine) doesn't make it true. From purely a business/commercial aspect that is slick & efficient. However, the mentally/psychologically impaired can buy guns just as easily. When the US wants to, you can easily make something cheap & affordable. Why not apply the same to healthcare; you spend 17% of GDP on healthcare whereas across Europe we spend about 10% of GDP and have better quality. It's got the same crap form factor as a GoPro?? I've always hated the "little box on a stalk" setup. I was disappointed as soon as I clicked the link. "Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes"
