    My 6th Level Struggle

I don't really know what it was after my 5th level that kept me away for 29 days!! You read about the nervousness that people experience, but honestly I don't know where my came from. Maybe the fear of failure. Hell, in this sport if you fail a level and are alive at the end, it is a learning experience, Right!?! Well, I got up yesterday and I knew that I had to jump, or I would forever make excuses of why I couldn't go to the DZ~ the DZ is only 5 minutes from my house!! Anyway, I was at the DZ by 8:30am and was set to go on the first load. My JM was late, so I got bumped off!! I was so bummed!! For the average wack job, that would have been no problem, but for me, it gave me just a little more time to build up that fear factor!! BREATH DEEP AND DON'T FORGET TO EXHALE!! And get this, I was on the ground!! I was very nervous!! My JM finally showed up!! You know everything happens for a reason! He Rocked!! The once nervous wack job, became a very excited wack job!! I finally felt so ready, so calm
  5. After I did my L-3 and L-4 jumps I knew that I was done for the day. I knew this because in my mind there were things that I needed time to improve on!! I wanted to give myself ample time to visualize and really get into these last dives~really know the dive flow. I also wanted to visualize my dives 3 & 4 and see what I could have done to make them better. For me, being centered and always focused on my next task is very important and if I am not there mentally, I am not there!! I am sure everyone has their way of "knowing their limits"!! This is it for me!! Happy Flying!! Katie
  6. Yeah Baby, Yeah!! OH, and about the beer!! No problem, but I don't know if there will be any left when you get back! hee hee hee Katie
  7. I did L-3 & L-4 yesterday and was done after that!! My husband did L-2,3, &4. I think that is just depends on how you feel!! You are the only one to who knows your limits!! ~Katie
