Opteka do a 0.43 HD lens, looks nice to me!! Few of my friends use it and love it!

Although not mandatory, most places in the UK will require a cutaway but not a drogue. I think in france cutaways are mandatory.

There's a setting in the menu function to turn this off. You have to set Power on by LCD - OFF. Can't remember exactly where it is but you'll find it easily enough.

The way i've done it, with a little bit of success, is to play back using VLC and use the snapshot function. If you take a normal snapshot it comes out fairly crappy but if you set the interlacing to linear, you get some decent ones. I'm guessing this removes interlaced frames hence giving decent quality as it plays faster than usual when this setting is used. Anyone got any idea how to do this whilst keeping it playing at standard speed?

That sounds plausible! Shame because it was a really nice bit of kit AND good value!

One of my friends jumped the Samyang 8mm for a short while, awesome lens, brilliant pictures....... However, after maybe 30 seconds in freefall he'd sometimes get a steamed up circle right at the centre of the picture, nothing he tried would stop it. This was in Spain in the summer so nice and warm, not very humid, maybe the odd bit of cloud kicking around here and there, no idea why! He's now swapped it for the tokina 10-17mm which seems to do the trick perfectly and is slightly more versatile for using on the ground too.

That was still a whole load better than most tandem hand cams that i've seen! I really really really want a go pro.......

Mine's painted, didn't look anywhere as nice as your two's until it'd got a fair bit of paint and filler on it!! I made the entire lot actually, helmet and box. This is Mark II, the first one was a bit bulkier and the original box was made to cover the raynox 5050 lens, i've since decided that i didn't like the massive lens so downsized to a royal 0.5x. Let me know what you think, i made 2 boxes and 2 helmets and the whole lot took about 3 weeks (Christmas vacation from Uni) to complete.
