Flynn wants immunity to testify on Russia allegations

"Bullshit"? What would you call Gowdy's crazed obsession with Benghazi that never proved a single thing? -
Elaborate. I was in college, pre 2010, and he came to our campus to give a talk. I worked at the campus bookstore, and regularly took the extra hours to work events like this later in the evening. We would stay open late to sell whatever speaker's book was being promoted. Anyway, he finishes his talk and came to the signing table, where I was selling his books. He asked which one I liked better, and I honestly told him I hadn't read either of them, and that I was just simply working overtime. He went on for about a minute and a half, talking down to me about how I should read more. I didn't say a word when he was done embarrassing me, I just went on trying to do my job. YMMV, but he rubbed me the wrong way for no reason at all. I could see how that could leave you pissed off.

The irony meter is pegged. You know, you just keep pegging away like a bully. But you never answered my questioned in the other thread. Where did this Ron guy ever predict that the end of the world was last year? Please excuse me, I tend to get a bit defensive when my fellow sheep are attacked. (not that Ron needs my protection) If I'm not mistaken, last summer he was citing some type of Pro apocalyptict American/Israeli web site that suggested that the end of the world would occur during the fall of 2016. I'm looking out my kitchen window as I write this, although it's a little overcast, everything still looks the same. And I'm sure if you asked Ron about his prediction, he'd tell you. I did not predict anything. I shared some thoughts from Jonathon Cahn's book, The Mystery of the Shemitah. However, consider: 1. The election victory of President Donald Trump. 2. The U.S. turned its back on Israel by abstaining from the U.N. vote regarding Palestine. These are two very important incident's in world history, IMO. Now I remember, you linked this guy who claimed that a cataclysmic event would occur in September: http://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/jonathan-cahn-blows-september-13-doomsday-prophecy-finds-convenient-explanation/ -
Do you think Obama will go golfing this weekend?
jclalor replied to jgoose71's topic in Speakers Corner
When you first posted this I didn't think much of it. Then I thought a little about it, is this the most you guys have? The President likes to golf? WTF. At the most, maybe every week or two he spends a few hours golfing, and this is an issue that concerns you. Take issue with his policy, hell no ones perfect, maybe he's wrong on everything, but to think he is less of a President because he golfs is pathetic. Anybody that really thinks his golfing is an issue needs to reevaluate their critical thinking skills. You must not remember the uproar about Bush's golfing and vacations I think this is just a parody on that which exposes the hypocrisy of the left on topics like this What do you think? I enjoy a good parody just like the next guy, but I don't think this was the case. Golfing an hour away is not even close to flying half way across the country to the ranch. I always thought, while it looked bad for Dubya to make all those trips to Crawford, (He made 77 trips and spent 487 days there) in reality he was just as connected as he was at the WH. While it's true that some Dems went after Dubya about everything he did, some did not. Now all these Republicans say that since some said this about Bush, we can say this about Obama. It would be nice to see the Republicans go after Obama on policy and not golfing, Kenya, Islam etc etc etc. It would be a chance to show that their the bigger men. one reaps what one sows And I am glad you can justify a difference I wonder how many times Bush spent billions sending his family on vacations? Oh, and they DO go after him on policy Gotta go to different news sources (other than ABC,CBS,NBC, CNN, NPR et al) where much discussion is going on Billions for Obama's vacations? Do you still think that? https://youtu.be/CQFEY9RIRJA -

The bottom line is the GOP doesn't want the young and healthy to subsidize medical cost for the older and sicker Americans. I have a feeling this country is going to shit, the GOP is in control and will have no problem watching people dying in the street.

My issue with this is an 'illegal immigrant' by definition has broken the law. I know that people muddle up immigrants, refugees and illegal immigrants all the time. But a true 'illegal' immigrant has committed a crime and so the people quoted are wrong. That said I believe in compassion and if a previous administration turned a blind eye then perhaps amnesties and special exemptions could be applied. You know there's a problem when the nation's economy would collapse if all the illegals were deported.

Very very interesting... this will surely apply to the vast majority of skydivers today.

It is axiomatic that that people who staunchly oppose something or another are focused on that issue, and often come to espouse the thing against which they railed. Televangelists that decry 'sin' are routinely involved with all kinds of sinful stuff. Of course, their flock then concludes that it was because they failed to give them enough money and seeks to rectify that oversight. When Madonna made a big deal about Catholic stuff, I figured she would send her kids to parochial school (I think she did). People who attack homosexuality are all too often stifling their own urges. The despicable person who shot up Pulse in Orlando was both a Muslim and a patron - he may have been hoping for virgin boys in Paradise. Having lived in Chicago, Philadelphia and Houston, I am accustomed to irregularities at the polls ranging from busing in winos compensated for their votes to ballots apparently cast in alphabetical order. I am not sure how many elections were actually tipped by such shenanigans, but I suspect not many (Jack the Zipper Kennedy vs. Tricky Dick Nixon was an exception). I do not worry much about Trump on most issues, since I think he simply says whatever he feels like saying because he generally gets away with it. He has discovered through long experience that sanity is overrated. The fact that the subject of this thread is (R) is largely immaterial. For every loathsome scumbag on one side of the aisle, there is an equally despicable counterpart on the other - take your pick. Politician lies! Dog bites man! News at 6. I think the R does matter, when do you see a D frothing at the mouth about how democracy is on the verge of collapse with all the illegal voting? Do you know the definition of espouse? The examples you give after using the word is not espousing.

(source: http://globalnews.ca/news/3323468/americans-build-the-wall-cancun/) "The incident adds to a “growing number of complaints” from tourism workers who say that spring breakers have been “offensive, rude and haughty towards Mexican people.” Stupidity knows no bounds. Say and do stupid stuff to people that serve you food. ... and clean your room (with all your stuff in it), and serve you drinks. Pretty easy to mess with jokers like that. [Customs official: "excuse me sir, please step aside with your bags. Did you pack these bags yourself?" k-9 team approaches, dog visibly attentive Spring Breaker: "uh, yeah. What's the problem? I'm an American!"] Not to mention that offending local law enforcement is never a good idea while visiting south of the border.

How fast did you learn to pack parachute?
jclalor replied to Sabrekakkonen's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Actually, paid packers, AFAIK, were a rarity in the 70's. Skydives were only $6 in the 70's. If I'm remembering correctly (which may well NOT be the case) we got paid $3 for packing T-10's in the late 70's. One of my fonder memories of 1983 was showing up at the DZ on a very slow weekday with a couple of friends. The DZO really didnt want to fire up the Cessna for the three of us. After noticing a couple of empty beer cans in the bed of the truck, to the DZO's relief, we were told that we know the rules, there would be no jumping... "But hey! you guys want to pack some student T-10's ?" -

The greatest impediment to me learning to pack was the option of paying $6. -

Most believe the Antichrist will come from Turkey or one of the other Mideastern countries. It is still too soon to tell. Stay focused on Israel not America. I thought you were thinking that last fall would be the end of the world?
