Well my biggest blooper is that I just followed the first person out without spotting. big mistake since it was a hop'n pop at 3500 feet. I found out that the jumper was new at our DZ with a B licence and misunderstood the signal "one minute" and "open door". It is so far the longest ride I have done with a parachute. Landed at designated LZ. So I've learned my lesson, always look down first "flying" is the most reasonable thing I ever done

WOW! That's an awesome story! I can't wait to get off student status when I can actually have some fun jumps and enjoy them for what they are, tumble out of the plane with a smile on my face and let gravity take control! I'm convinced that people who skydive are the greatest people to hang out with and party with in the world! I'll sign that statement "flying" is the most reasonable thing I ever done

So this is the story: I was deployed, and spent almost a year in Afghanistan. 2 months before I returned back home, my girlfriend dumped me. Our HQ on our DZ had to be removed due to expanding of the airport, AND the engine on our plane broke down... So is this a sign? or just bad luck? "flying" is the most reasonable thing I ever done

Hi drkkn1gh7, welcome. I did the static line jumps. The first two jumps you only have to make a stable "x". The two next jumps, you need to mark a "pull" by reaching your hand down where the handle is. And then you have two jumps where you pull a dummy handle. After that a little test, and then you are ready for Freefall jumps :-P I am at the 7 sec jump at the moment, jumping from 4000 feet BLUE SKIES "flying" is the most reasonable thing I ever done
