  3. Meh... That picture is the ONLY good picture of me ever taken and it looks NOTHING like me... Remi will vouch for the fact that I totally fit the "bland accountant" profile/stereotype... Yeah. Totally. Nat, your secret is safe with me. No one will ever see _those_ photos. Remster
  4. Not necessarily... Since jumper (I assume the jumper packed it) missed the fact that the bridle went under the flap, he might very well have matter the velcro and not noticed it (in fact, the velcro MAY have been matter prior to pulling) Remster
  5. Ro's over there (probably on it)... I'll ask her. Remster

  8. Truth be told, falling out of an airplane is not natural to most people It's normal to suck the 1st time you do something. Most of us have, and still do. Speaking generally, since none of us know you: Will wind-tunnel time help? Most probably. Is it required? Probably not. If you do some, do it in quick sequence before jumping: the day of, of the weekend of. At most, a few days before. And any tunnel instructor worth his/her salt should be able to help you with those goals. Remster
  9. She's taking over as UC president. I'm sure it was a last minute thing. Remster

  12. Do you have references for this? I'm fairly knowledgeable in this area and I don't think that's an accurate interpretation of the research findings. Says who???? You and your educated out-of-touch-elite? Remster
  13. I thought about that a few years back when I saw the story about the walk-through scanners that really required you to do nothing. Could end up being a good market for 'scrambler' lenses down the road. Trouble is contact lenses are FDA restricted and require a prescription (you used to be able to buy those 'crazy contacts' OTC). Really? Even cosmetic or effect contacts? You can still buy those unrestricted. Remster
  14. Sandy: the problem I see is that, if you have stress issues (in the water, I guess that's possible lol), you may not be able to open your visor. And a closed visor, with breathing, is probably worse than any potential increase of flotation that you might get... Just IMHO... Remster
  15. A lot of people do both groups. The number of people that can afford big ways in money and time off is limited. Yeah. But the leadership of the groups are seperate, as you know... : http://www.kyivpost.com/content/lifestyle/james-bond-stuntman-to-end-skydiving-career-with-sky-hopak-project-in-ukraine-326766.html Remster

  17. Does not compute. Ask him why he recommends the 160. Financial considerations asides, it makes no sense. Remster
  18. Keep jumping. A whole bunch of us went through what you are going through without tunnels. Yes, they are great, but you dont _need_ them.
  19. Great. More focking canadians drinking our beer. Remster

  21. He recommended the PDR160 over the OPT176? Remster
