  1. I went to that DZ's web site, and all they have listed for air craft is a Cessna 182, no twotter. Something happened to it. I also noticed the green canvases over the walkways outside of manifest were torn and blowing in the wind. You can see the moneys not there. Fake, or no? Not sure. Fact: They don't have a twotter no mo' Best- Richard Not a fact. Wrong DZ. http://www.parachutecenter.com/about_us.htm Remster
  2. Still. Unless the guy was a gymnast, legs don't bend that way. I'd put money on it happening in the plane. Remster
  3. I highly doubt that. Probably more a case of it being pushed into the pouch during climb out / moving to the door. Remster
  4. The harness is there for the FF and opening. After that, he unhooked. Remster
  5. I totally disagree. If aviation seat belts are designed to open under a load, what would make them stay closed in an emergency? Airplane crash on take off, should aviation seat belts unsnap? I think not. Revisit your theory. They are in deed designed so that they can be opened under load (that does not mean that they will let go under load). What makes them stay close is, wait for it, the closing mechanism. Remster
  6. Read just one huh Now THAT is awsome research I read a few (3 of your links to be exact). Enough to see the BS. Remster
  7. So 60+% of people who voted for her thought she helped. That's awesome "research". Remster
  8. Because, in a plane crash, if you are not wearing one, you'll probably die and kill others at the same time. Remster
  9. Climbing is even more boring! Remster
  10. And their camera guy is sexy as hell! mmm... Results may vary. Remster
  11. Well duh, that's what they're for. Energy gels are fundamentally just sugar in an easily consumable and rapidly digestible form. If you're not excercising long enough that you're going to metabolise the sugar you have stored in your blood and muscle fibres (minimum 1.5 hours, potentially a lot longer if you're fit and accustomed to endurance excercise) then you don't need it. If you're going over that limit then you absolutely need to take on energy and gels are an easy way of doing that without needing to stop. Nuttin' wrong with a sticky homemade flapjack either, mind Who the hell recommended Gels for short distances anyways? I love them because they are very easy to manage on a ride: my typical weekend ride is 3 hours. That's 2 gels, and 1 drink bottle (plus water of course). On my long performance-rides (5 hours), then I guttonify! 5 Cliff bars and 5 gels (top of the hour gets a bar, bottom of the hour gets a gel) and 2 drink bottles; Why? because bonking sucks! PS: you can't pre-fuel for 8,000 Cals... Remster
  12. Giant hidden propellers. And a strict bean diet. Remster
  13. The only activity that scientific studies show compression clothing being beneficial while doing it is long distance running (and that's for extremities... That's lower legs and arms, you pervs) Remster
  14. Agreed. I don't like E's either. B's and P's I don't mind tho, but the P works best with a headjam, and that can make some new jumpers apprehensive (no reason for it, but you don't want to do something completely new like this on a comp jump IMO) Remster
  15. Yeah I've been known to make a jump now & then...only between flower plantin' seasons though. What kind of soil do you use? I find that impact crater yields the best results...pure virgin soil sprinkled with bullshit ~ best fertilizer going! Mmmm, virgin soil. [insert ploughing joke here] Remster
