    When my American girl friend gave me dating advice and explained to me "the rules", I just stood there in disbelief. That is some fucked up shit!!! That conversation kinda turned me off from dating American boys -- when she explained to me that they expect me to "play the game" and if I don't, they'll think I'm "easy", my "type" just changed to "foreign men only". When I talk to people on the phone I'm usually outside smoking cause I'll be honest I need something else to do. Even if I enjoy the conversation I can still get bored. Smoking fixes that.

    You got your facts wrong. First of all it wasn't a wingsuit jump. Secondly even if it would have been it wouldn't have been one of my first. I had done about 8 jumps that week alone. I was already up to jump 13. Also it wasn't just because it was an off landing it's because I had moving objects in my way and was too low to turn. Better accuracy wouldn't have helped. PLFing would have.

    Hey Skittles! If she has said yes to dinner then you are definitely on the right path!!! Like O said there is a very fine line without a clear answer. For me it all depends on how much I like the guy. You really just have to go with instinct and the cues she is giving you. And personally I hate the "rules" about how long after the date before you can call the girl. If you had a good time and things go well, call her the next day and just simply let her know you had a good time and enjoyed the evening. If she likes you she will appreciate that. If she doesn't then you will know from her response. If things go well you can bring her to Summerfest for us all to meet her!! Well I already talk to her at least a few times a week and the conversations last for a few hours so I wouldn't stop talking to her for a few days just cause of some dumb rule.

    When I was in NYC in Highschool... (early 90s) I had the oportunity to see either Cats or Les Miserable... I didn't know what either of them were about at the time and chose Cats... I'm still disappointed at my decision... I'm right there with you. It was an 8th grade field trip. We were supposed to go see the blue man group but the band teachers bitched and moaned cause they were taking the band to blue man group so we had to see Cats.

    OK, seriously... yes, there's a line. I can't stand douche nozzles who like to flaunt stuff, whether it be salary, car, # of skydives, etc.)... it's a total turn off to me. Also, if you ask once, and I give you the "I'm flattered but" line... then please take the hint and don't ask again. And please don't call me a lesbian because I'm not interested in you!! Sometimes people grow on you, sometimes not. You don't want to burn any bridges just in case sparks start to fly at a later date. And I'm so glad to hear you have a real date!! I'm sure there will be video... That's how I get all my girls. We start as friends and talk casually. Usually on a pretty constant basis and then BAM! all of a sudden they realize they have feelings for Skittles. Obviously due to his killer sense of humor, charm, wit and of course modesty.

I said I don't have money. I didn't say I don't have credit. Credit card companies apparently cant give me credit fast enough. For the record I could move out any time I want to. I own a place I can live if I do. I just choose not to.

    That's completely stupid. Why a C license and 2 successful wingsuit dives? Why not keep it at 200 skydives and add 2 successful wingsuit dives? If I don't meet the requirements for a C license due to not having accuracy done why should I be punished? It's not like the actual landing changes any. Helping you stay alive and uninjured is not punishment. And since your chance of an off-landing is higher with a WS, your accuracy IS important. OK. I realize that accuracy is important when landing off. However to make it out to be so important that you shouldn't be allowed to jump a wingsuit without being able to land within 2M of the target 10 times (which doesn't mean you can do it everytime anyway) is a little silly. At least it is to me.

    This is close to what I would say. If she's being coy and flirty it may not hurt to suggest a lunch date if she's refused a nighttime one. Some people like that "hard to get" stuff. But if she's annoyed (look at her face: not smiling, rolling eyes, clenching teeth, red faced, distant look) or making up excuses not to go, move on. Also, don't try to impress her with stupid macho shit when you're trying to hit on her ("I never thought I'd be this well off by my age!" "I have three boats!" etc.) (some idiot actually said these things and more to me last weekend; I wish I were meaner, I would've called him out for being a huge douche). Not a problem. I'm 21, still live at home, don't have a job and have almost no money left. Oh and thanks to both of you for the honest, serious answers.

    Don't ya'll who DD people across the pond or get DDed worry about international rates? Ha ... both V-B and I are going to have a very high phone bill this month ... O Just for the hell of it I looked up rates through my wireless company. Per minute its $1.49 to landlines and $1.70 to cell phones in Switzerland. Are international calls really so different from domestic calls that it warrants that price?
