  1. That's at the top of the dumbest things I've ever seen.
  2. We'll work with you on the SCRs to have you ready for the Pink Patch.
  3. I'd never have the balls to do something like that (in whatever situation that would call for it) but that's great!!
  4. Oh yeah... I'll usually let someone I know carry my bags!! Hell yeah!! I don't want to carry heavy bags if I don't have to!!
  5. I don't like to let people carry my bags, just because you never know if they might run off with them! But, if someone holds a door for me or something to that effect, I'm happy to show my gratitude by simply smiling and saying thank you.
  6. AMEN!!!! I couldn't agree more!!!!! I love when a guy treats me like that. I love gentlemen. It's a shame too many of "us" have led men to believe it's not a good thing anymore.
  7. Ron knows I like him. It's no secret. Of course, I'm always anxious to read your replies, bodypilot90. At least I know I can get my blood pressure going just reading, and disagreeing with, some of your posts.
  8. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I present exibit A: Morgan Sherrod and David Lund. Both wildly in love with each other, wanting nothing more than to celebrate their 75th wedding anniversy after having spent a lifetime of love together and having raised their children. Awwww... Dave! That's so sweet.
  9. I was wondering when you were going to join us this morning, Ron. I don't have a problem with people haivng their own opinions and thoughts and definitions. My mom loves to tell me, "Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one." If asked to vote on the legalization of drugs, I'll vote no. Simply because that's my OPINION and choice. I never started this thread as a way to change people's opinions. Only to try to understand them and try to figure out why what someone does is so important to someone else.
  10. but do you think polygamy should be legal. I haven't thought about it before. My first instinct is to say no, it shouldn't be legal. But when I ask myself why not, I realize it's because I wouldn't do it and I don't like it. So, if it came to a vote, I'd probably vote yes, legalize it. If it isn't hurting other people or doesn't involve bad things with children, then why not? kind of off topic but if you knew the profits for the drugs were going to someone involved with terrorism would you still not have a problem? Or if they were jumping and going to be on your load? If I knew the profits were going to fund terrorism, then I would absolutely have a problem with it. But how do you know the money we spend at the dz isn't going to fund terrorism? (Of course it isn't, but that's my example.) If you knew the profits from what you enjoy doing (skydiving) are going to terrorism or kiddie porn or something equally terrible, would you have a problem with it? As for someone being on my load... I'm sure I have been in the plane with someone who was not sober. In fact, I know I have. If they aren't hurting me or my friends or family, if they aren't taking it into my home, if they aren't trying to force it on me, then I don't care. If they aren't posing a danger to me or the other jumpers in the plane, including the pilot, then I don't care.
  11. What's the difference between A and B? Nevermind... I found it. I vote A.
  12. I have to ask what you think of polygamy? is that ok in your book? so now we have gay marriage and marrying poodles and now polygamy.....where is the line? Space aliens, do they count? If it's just about love why leave them out. edit to add....I say this in a light hearted jest but really want to know. I don't agree with polygamy because I think a marriage is between two people. If a couple decides to invite another person (or people) into their relationship, that's fine with me as long as they aren't hurting anyone else or trying to push their ways on me. Just because I don't agree with something doesn't mean I'm going to protest it. (Not saying you would protest, I have no idea.) I don't agree with drugs, but I'm not going to hold it against someone because they enjoy it. If it starts to hurt me somehow or they start trying to push me into trying it, then I'll have a problem with it. This thread has gotten way out of control. I mean, who would want to marry a poodle?? They are so funny looking.
  13. Had to take Kelel01 off. She can't make it.
  14. I wasn't referring specifically to his last post. Maybe I should have made that more clear.
  15. I have to ask... what do you think of bisexuals? By your definition, they are half good and half bad. Are they good, moral people when in a relationship or having sex with a person of their opposite sex but sinful and immoral when with someone of the same sex? Are you turned on seeing two women together? Is that ok in your book?
  16. Last night, my friends and I went to a Ladie's Night Club. One of the girls wanted to impress the rest of us, so she pulled out a $10 bill. When the male dancer came over to us, my friend licked the $10 bill and stuck it to his butt cheek! Not to be outdone, another friend pulls out a $20 bill. She called the guy back, licks the $20 bill, and sticks it to his other butt cheek. In another attempt to impress the rest of us, my third friend pulls out a $50 bill and calls the guy over, and licks the $50 bill. I'm worried about the way things are going, but fortunately, she just stuck it to one of his butt cheeks again. My relief was short-lived. Seeing the way things are going, the guy gyrates over to me!!! Now everyone's attention is focused on me, and the guy is egging me on to try to top the $50. My brain was churning as I reached for my wallet. What could I do???? The woman in me took over! I got out my ATM card, swiped it down the crack of his butt, grabbed the eighty bucks, and left. *Not a true story, but funny nonetheless!

What? Are you telling us Stephen Baldwin wasn't as charming and charismatic as his on-screen persona? UUhhhhh... absolutely NOT. Total asshole.

Happythoughts and I worked together on that movie. What a coincidence that he's sitting 5 feet from me at this moment.
  19. Beautiful, Oren. The whole post is wonderful, but that section above is what my original post was all about. While I didn't grow up the way you did, and my parents would totally disagree with me about my beliefs (as far as I know), I do feel that I am "on your/their side." I'm not gay, but it absolutely breaks my heart to see how much hatred and persecution there is for people who are "different." I pray for it to go to vote so I can vote YES!!
  20. Are we still talking about sexuality? Ok, yes, define immoral sexuality and moral sexuality. My definitions: Immoral - having multiple partners, aving an STD and knowingly sleeping around, have babies for welfare Moral - being monogomous in a loving relationship, if you happen to contract an STD talking about it with your partner and dealing with it together, having some sort of birth control so as not to make unwanted babies This thread is wearing me out.
  21. Geez, you're close minded, aren't you? That's all great & wonderful. They've done big things & gained lots of worldly possessions. They've also, however, raised children without a sense of what's right & wrong with regard to sexuality. Does that mean it's ok to sleep around, spread STDs, and have lots of babies but not ok to be with one person that HAPPENS to be the same sex? By practicing homosexuality. Owning businesses, homes, and even raising children who grow up & can hold their own has nothing to do with morality. Other good things they do like giving to charity may be very moral & admirable but that also doesn't have anything to do with or somehow account for their immoral homosexual lifestyle. Please explain to me what you define as moral and immoral. Being good people, raising good children, loving, and basically doing good, is moral in my book. Killing, stealing, lying... all immoral.
  22. Oh, have I got a big bone to pick with you, Hotpants. Oren's already posted about having been raised by his gay mother and her partner of 25 years. Let's review: these two women own several very successful businesses in New York City & East Hampton. They own 3 homes. They've raised 5 children who are all comfortable and hold their own. They pay their taxes. They've saved for their retirement. They are very involved in charity. And here's something that should ice the cake - over the strenuous objections of their kids, they voted for your man Bush in the last election (that part is still a mystery to me, no matter how many times it's been explained). Tell me how Ruth & Janet and the many gay domestic partners are leading to the decline of morality of the United States. Yeah Laura!! I was just about to say something along those same lines. I don't have the background that Oren has, but I side with him and his family. I ask the same question: How are they (including all gay couples) leading to the decline of morality? When I read that I just shook my head and felt sad.
  23. Not at all. I'm listening to everyone, just not agreeing with all. Apparently you and I are on the same wave.
  24. WOOHOO!! That's good news, finally, huh?
  25. Thank you for putting into words what I could not.
