Only get something you want, not something someone else tells you to get. I have my belly button pierced and two tats, one on the inside of each ankle, and I love them all. The main thing is, make yourself happy, not someone else, because it is your body and you have to live with it all!!

That's just funny! LOL My dad started jumping 5 months after I did, but only lasted for 3 years then quit. During that time my grandmother made a tandem and my little brother did 3 static lines. My parents don't like that I spend so much money on it, but they do know I'll never quit! Now, if I can just get Grandma to understand that!! LOL

Generally, beer is bought upon completion of any "first" you make in the sport. So, your first jump off of student status, you owe a case of beer. Your first off drop zone landing, you owe a case of beer. You get the picture. It isn't necessarily upon completion of a certain task, but the "first" of anything. Blue skies!!!

I can totally relate. My ex had way less jumps than I did when we were together. He used to always wear skydiving tshirts out and make it a point to talk about skyding, loud enough for someone to pick up on the conversation and start asking questions. Once they started talking to him and asking his jump numbers, they would look at me and ask if I had ever done it. Of course I would say, "Actually I have XXX jumps" and they would always react the same. Dropped jaw, big eyes, and "Wow, so you have MORE than him?" It never failed to piss him off and get him defensive, which was my goal at the time, and impress the hell out of these guys, and always his friends. I still get that reaction now, "Wow, YOU skydive?" Some guys are instantly interested and some are instantly intimidated.

The weekend was nice. At least we got to jump and I got to hang out with Grogs finally!!

Grogs and I were at Skydive Dallas this past weekend... but where was everyone else who posted saying they would be there???? The weather Saturday was terrible, but Sunday we jumped all day. What happened to our mini-dz.com boogie!?!

I won't tell who the diver was, because I don't think he would like to know I've been talking about it. We got.... 4 points, but we held each one for quite a while. We completely skipped the dirt dive and went right into the real deal!!

I just got a skydiving tattoo. I got a hat in Z-Hills with a picture of a person under canopy, so I took that and a picture of myself under canopy and asked the girl if she could do it. She made a photocopy of the hat, then traced it onto some kind of carbon paper, and put that on my ankle. Then she colored it to look like me, under my canopy. It looks great!! As soon as I get the pictures developed, I will post it for everyone to see!!
