  1. In December 2006 and March 2007, the international community passed resolutions 1737 and 1747 respectively after Iran failed to comply with UN demands to halt the enrichment of uranium or to agree to full IAEA oversight of its nuclear program. Guess that falls under "completely legal" these days.
  2. Anyone openly calling for the destruction of Israel in a flash of light while simultaneously attempting to build a nuclear program brings it onto themselves.
  3. Some of these actually made me laugh. http://www.explosm.net/comics/526/ http://www.explosm.net/comics/52/ http://www.explosm.net/comics/68/ http://www.explosm.net/comics/114/
  4. I will never forget the times I saw him jump. The man in blue and white camo inspired more awe on those occasions than Batman could ever hope for. Every time I see a swooper I know I'll think of him. I remember people waiting around just to see him land one more time with more determination to wait around than a finale in a fireworks show. Here's to the man dive bombing the hanger, you were a hero.
  5. Actually it was all a clever ploy to discover ladies who enjoy learning about the consequences of drunk beavers
  6. Posting this assuming futuredivots paraphrase was on target. A dui isn't guilty because he is considered capable of choosing to drive. He's guilty if he chooses to consume the substance that impairs his ability to drive and drives. Now if the individual was under duress or involuntarily intoxicated there are some traditional defenses that come into play. Same thing goes for whether the individual was "operating" a motor vehicle (been some very unique arguments on that point). As for rape its generally an issue of consent (potential variables given your jurisdiction). Meaning that the prosecution must prove that there was no consent. Just becuase a girl was drunk doesn't equate to no consent, but in cases of extreme intoxication it would. Also there is an issue of whether a person in the "alleged rapists" shoes would/should have known that the womans state renders her past the point of being able to give consent. Basically theres just a huge difference between the mens rea and the actus reus of the two crimes to effectivly compare the two.
  7. New jumper in Radcliff, KY. So far 4 jumps 3 statics with one TAF. Looking forward to getting that A card but enjoying the ride inbetween Just figured I'd stop trolling and say hello.
  8. There are places in the world that you know the moment you walked into the door your a part of something special. This DZ is one of them. The staff and community are the core of this DZ. I'm not sure if the skydiving or the conversations were more fun. This is one DZ where you don't feel like your just another number getting put through the grinder. And its the extra effort everyone puts forward that ensures that you not only skydive safely, but that you actually have a good time doing it. Great instructors from the ground to the air. Brought my 62 year old father to jump for his first time and he had the time of his life. And its not effort thats only directed towards the jumpers either. Mad props to Shawn for talking to my mother and wife after the jumps helping to ease their fears and apprehensions when he could have simply packed up and gone home. It's that extra effort that makes this DZ special, and its worth any drive to experience it.
