Gregory may have thought he was flirting ?
-
Wasnt it Alice who forgot her purse ?

I think Cooper is a guy that likes McGyvering. Control freak. In a strange way he is also trying to maintain 'isolation' - as little interaction with the outside world as possible. He is demonstrating his tactical priorities. It may not be logical but it is his way of fostering the illusion that he is in control. He also has confidence in his McGyvering! Arrogance. Manager type. If something goes wrong he only has himself to blame ? A loner mentality. Loners have lots of grudges... its a personality type. Myopic manager type. ? Conflict archetype. Saw these personality types when I worked for Voc Rehab. They just could not accept that a stroke of some other event had changed their lives. They turned to crime as a shortcut thinking they could not be caught ... a pathetic situation common in the rehab profession. They always forget or overlook something crucial. Cooper may be a guy who decided to solve a financial problem by an elaborate parachuting solution few others would even conceive. The FBI might have looked for Cooper in the social welfare system.

You're right. Touch to nail down. His grudge could have been as broad as poverty. On the other hand his grudge could have been quite specific and personal. It seems an odd remark to me ? In fact he made a number of personal revealing statements. That is one of the reasons I give his remark credibility .... others will see it differently. Thanks!

Well, she asked if he had a grudge against the airline and he replied that he had a grudge but not against her airline...she put the word in his mouth. Her words are: In response to her query as to why he had chosen a Northwest airplane to hijack, he said ‘he had “a grudge but not against Northwest Airlines” adding ‘that the Northwest plane just happened to be in the right place at the right time’. Tina did not use the word grudge. The word grudge is his. I spend all of my time correcting people! Very time consuming - just cant do this any more. I need a break.
-
Tina asked Cooper 'why' he was doing this - he replied I have a grudge but not against your airlines, which is specific. If you take his statement at face value, he had a 'beef' with a value of $200k. Thats a low value! Would most people trade their lives for $200k ? The context that cannot be ignored is a whole nation in economic and social turmoil. A nation at war. A nation in recession. But, people have decided it was the $200k he was after. The State of Washington was is turmoil. We assume hijackers are just petty fools after money with no justifiable reasons. Except money. All of which reduces Cooper's statement to nonsense and irrelevant. We just ignore it. We dismiss it. It did not matter to Cooper ... it was the money and the commotion he was after. Like a child throwing a fit in a store. Just something Cooper made up.

Did any of the FBI's suspects have a grudge? Not against your 'airlines' but . . . . .

Chick X was a pole vaulter, set records that stood for years at the Drake Relays, eventually became an F4 pilot for the Navy ... he said that his pole vaulting and high jumping and ski jumping... 'set me up for parachute training'. 'I think I could have done the Cooper jump just based on my pole vaulting and ski jumping alone ... the element of overcoming risk may be the biggest factor'. Cooper did not have to be a parachutist with parachuting experience, at all ? A person with proven athletic skills, drive, and intelligence who perhaps already knew the Portland area (even had a family history there), could also have done the Cooper hijacking ... and there are people who fit that description who were never identified or examined.

There it is... good work.
-
Precisely. Nobody cares. You finally got something right.
-
You are quick! You have already replied and I havent even posted! Its pretty funny.
-
I knew the day would come when you would be telling actual witnesses they are full of shit and only you are correct! Its pretty funny....

Cliff Ammerman said almost anybody would take V23 in that situation. If this exact scenario played out 100 times, they are more likely then not selecting V23 100/100. There it is. There had to be a discussion.
-
I did - years ago! Since you had no role whatever in the Cooper hijacking I will take it you actually dont know jack shit about it! Your dictator style is a clue ...
-
Cite the files you think explains V23 .

This is not complicated. No reason to guess at a pscyho analysis of the maldum fornax !!! Very likely somebody assigned them a route or they got permission to take a route. THEY DID NOT JUST PUT THEMSELVES ON A ROUT - WITHOUT PERMISSION! PLANES DO NOT JUST FOP AROUND THE SKY WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM SOMEBODY! That is one logical place to start. Who gave them permission? Somebody in the Tower gave them permission to be anywhere or do this vs that ... Ammerman? Somebody call Cliff and ask him! We know somebody told them to do whatever they wanted or needed to do! That much is in the record... so they flew V23. There were other planes in the sky at the same time. Air traffic around Seattle was not shut down for them alone! V23 was apparently open ........... so they took it! And somebody approved of that. It was a pilot/controller decision! Everyone was listening!
-
Ammerman must know something about this ? Somebody made the decision!
-
they settled on V23... they settled on V23... they settled on V23... they settled on V23...

Planes fly routes: common knowledge. A hijacked plane is not allowed to wander all over the place and probably not allowed to stray very far from a predictable route. Again common knowledge. 305 is NOT going to be allowed to fly out over the open ocean! Common knowledge. Cooper knows he is going to be flying south and will intersect the Columbia and Portland metro first, before anything else. He started to get ready to jump the moment chutes were brought on board even before the plane was airborne! This isnt rocket science! It is the most likely scenario if Cooper wants to land near Portland. In reality this is Cooper's first good opportunity to jump. Or Cooper can wait a jump later, further south. I appears he wanted and used a known target - Portland. Its no more complicated than that, unless you are trying to claim Cooper was a Martian and didnt know what planet he was on! ? This isnt rocket science!

Like in a Looney Tunes cartoon! When you have no better explanation always go with the default sermon .... backed up by personal attacks. Werks every time! Its a stage act. Leaves people baffled and mesmerized every time! Like at the carnival... The TRUTH IS: it wasnt a "conclusion" at all. It was the only thing Palmer and the FBI could come with, on the spur of the moment. And, it was STUPID on any account! Come on Flyjack. Dont be stupid. The Palmer/FBI account never happened because: PIGS DONT FLY! DUHHHHHHHHH!

Puzzling about this is useless. Flo is the source. Its her notes. Since nobody bothered to ask her if these were her words or the hyjackers, its useless white noise. Might as well be: 'shamalek hydrogen'. Get the show on the road is a different matter - commonly used phrase even today with origin in the Chicago area circus culture, known linguistic origin. My guess is this is a "Floism". Ask Flo's psychiatrist what it means!
-
Idea: is “negotiable American currency” like "get the show on the road" - a Chicago thing ? IF THE STEW COPIED EXACTLY WHAT HE SAID . . .
-
Its a language issue. Negotiable must be referring to the denominations he wants. Easily spendable bills. Otherwise, currency is negotiable by virtue of itself no matter the country or denomination. If Cooper even said this and these are not Flo's chosen words ? Its entirely possible that Cooper wasnt too bright and had trouble explaining himself well. And arrogant and non trusting. 'Get the show on the road and no funny stuff'. Did he say "git" or "get"? Does anyone know? I guess he didn't say 'yawl' or 'tater' ! He flubbed up with his original note taken to the cockpit. That note had a sample of his writing and his finger prints! Only later did he remember to ask for it back. The cockpit could have said 'we dont have it any more'. What can he do? Just one of Cooper's tactical failures. Based on his performance I dont think Cooper was a tactically trained person, certainly not by today's standards.

Is it just me? What he is doing would bother most people - most scared shitless! The guy either has guts or experience . . . . ?
