  1. Then you probably won't like this video of what happened last night. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFYjOZu3nG8&feature=fvwrel
  2. I liked the "Trickle Down Government" line. Clearly Romney cleaned Obamas clock. Now watch as the professional spin meisters go to work to slowly change what all of us (who are being honest) observed.
  3. I agree - Romney was far more smooth with his lies than Obama was with his. Well, acknowledgement is the first step. Congratulations!
  4. The solution would be to vote online. Then someone can vote from anywhere on the actual Election Day from anywhere in the world.
  5. So where does the money come from to fund your "free" healthcare?
  6. You really need to improve your reading comprehension.
  7. I think it says "vote for Obama and we will see 4 more years of dispair" I think it says "the GOP engineered recession of 2007-9 was so deep that even 4 years into the recovery there's more to do." You have to admit that the similarities between the '08 and '12 campaigns are striking. Empty promises. Nope. In 2008 we had a shrinking economy, a declining stock market, and a housing market crashing about our ears. We now have a growing economy, a rising stock market, and a recovering housing market. Would I like a faster recovery? Sure. But at least the direction is up in 2012 as opposed to down in 2008. The faux growth is being supported with borrowed money from China. Reminds me of someone living in a big house, driving a Lexus and dining out every night, all being paid for on a credit card. You call that prosperity? If so you have a very strange understanding of economics.
  8. so absentee voting shouldn't be allowed either then. because I can send it in before voting day, and something might happen. This year I have to early or absentee vote. I will be out of the country on election day. I'm glad you don't make the rules. It's obvious to almost anyone I was talking about early voting and not absentee voting.
  9. Yeah, here's the dictionary definition of "fraud". I'll let you noodle it out. So you can't actually explain how this is FRAUD. Thought not. Actually I can and did. Don't blame me if you don't understand what fraud is. I tried to give you the definition, hoping you could relate it to to the article. Apparently I was wrong.
  10. If "keeping it simple" means blowing smoke up our asses, you're doing great. But if you had a real point to make here, you didn't succeed. Oh, I think I did. Don't dislocate your shoulder while patting yourself on the back. Worried more about my groin muscles from taking a bow.
  11. Yeah, here's the dictionary definition of "fraud". I'll let you noodle it out.
  12. I support a voting week instead of just one day. I always seem to get bogged down the day I need to vote. I say have an entire week and don't announce anything until all votes are in and have been counted. That should also help with those people who live in the swamps you are always so concerned about.
  13. If "keeping it simple" means blowing smoke up our asses, you're doing great. But if you had a real point to make here, you didn't succeed. Oh, I think I did.
  14. Agreed. I am also opposed to early voting. Too much can happen in the final weeks of a campaign that could influence an election. Because once a person has voted, they cannot recind that vote no matter how egregious subsequent information could be.
  15. This is pathetic. You really have no understanding of the distinction between investing in foreign assets versus placing your money in offshore accounts? Or are you just pretending not to? You can invest in most large international companies directly via ADRs. You can invest in international sectors via ETFs provided by companies like Blackrock (iShares), Vanguard, State Street, etc. Mutual funds are also available as direct investments for Americans and the balances and accounts stay in USD. The reason you put your money offshore is either to hedge with the foreign currency, get access to assets you cannot reach on our exchanges, or to shield money from taxation. Since the Cayman dollar is pegged to the USD (1.2:1) and offers little investment opportunity, the explanation is obviously the third. BTW, it's really not the most attractive place. Like most of the Caribbean, it is somewhat harsh sand and gets knocked over by hurricanes every 5-10 years, so when you walk more than a couple blocks from the shore you see the rubble. It's hardly different from much of Florida, the so so parts. Underwater, otoh, is a different matter. Trying to keep it simple. Obviously the uninformed do not understand the Cayman Island "boogeyman" I was not trying to offer investment advice.
  16. We can thank St. Ronald Reagan for putting the insane back on the streets of America. Reagan put all the mutters with guns you post about on the streets? Wow, even long after his Presidency and death, you still blame him? Reading is a skill worth cultivating. Yes it is. Did you bother checking the date on your "article"?
  17. Obama campaign's robocall about early voting called misleading Pasco County Supervisor of Elections Brian Corley is warning voters about potentially misleading early voting information after his office received hundreds of inquiries from voters Tuesday wanting to cast early ballots.Early voting in Florida doesn't begin until Oct. 27 and lasts through Nov. 3. Corley traced one of the complaints to a robocall from Organizing for America, an arm of the Democratic Party. OFA spokesman Eric Jotkoff said the call refers to a program where voters can request an absentee ballot at the elections office and fill it out on the spot. Corley said that program is known as a "carry-out absentee ballot," which is available now. But he said some voters specifically mentioned early voting. "It is causing, I would say, massive confusion," Corley said. "The problem is the message going out is severely misleading." Jotkoff provided the Times with a copy of the robocall script, which does not use the term "early voting." This issue arose a day after Corley took a complaint from a voter about an OFA volunteer who initially said he worked for the elections office. The man told the voter there was a problem with her voter registration status, though officials confirmed her registration is fine. Corley said voters should call his office toll-free at 1-800-851-8754 if they have questions about their registration status. Voters can also check that information at pascovotes.com.

  20. You are about the only person in the world who refuses to acknowledge why the very wealthy, drug lords, despots etc. put their money in banks in the Caymans, Bermuda, Switzerland... And it is NOT to diversify the portfolio. I acknowledge many involved in criminal activities use off shore banks. However, it doesn't follow that only criminals use them. That's the part you seem to have trouble understanding.
  21. If keeping $Millions in offshore accounts netted him not one dollar reduction in taxes (to paraphrase Romney's claim), why is he (and Bain) paying high priced lawyers and accountants to set up these accounts in the Caymans? Does his money like the climate down there? www.nytimes.com/2012/10/02/us/politics/bains-offshore-strategies-grew-romneys-wealth.html?pagewanted=all You might want to enroll in some financial management classes. There you will learn that a diversified portfolio is a sign of a strong overall investment strategy. That includes investments in foreign markets. My guess is that if you have an IRA, that many of the mutual funds actually have investments in foreign stocks. You will also learn that Caymen Island Banks are not the shadowy places that most of the grossley uninformed think they are. They are actually quite commonly used as a place to gather investment money from around the world. Do you really believe that Transnational Corporations are a new concept? Want to buy a bridge? I have a nice one for sale. Right, what you don't have is a very good understanding of what Cayman Island Banks are used for nor how international investment money is gathered. Cute reply though, unfortunately no substance. We all (including you) know why Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Luxembourg... banks are preferred, and the reason is NOT diversity. You just can't bring yourself to admit it. I've already told you what they are used for. Indeed you have. Now, about that bridge... That bridge is about as real as your understanding of Caymen Island Banks. You are funny. You don't even understand how to spell the name of the islands, let alone understand why the money goes there. Resorting to pointing out spelling mistakes is a sure sign you have no argument. What's next? Godwins Law?
  22. That's a really great ad. "Vote for me and the future will all be pink clouds and unicorns"

  24. So you want to throw up your hands like kelpdiver and say "Nothing can be done" and just wait for the next nutter to go on a shooting spree. We are still waiting for you to suggest a solution that doesn't violate Constitutional Rights. We won't be holding our breath. Please continue the hand wringing, instead. SCOTUS has declared that the 2nd Amendment does not prevent prohibitions on gun ownership by felons or the mentally ill. SCOTUS, not you, decides what is Constitutional and what is not. Do tell how that should be implemented.
