    I look at it the same way as signing a skydiving waiver. You can agree to certain things up to a point but you cannot sign away your constitutional rights. Nor can you be legally held to a violation.

    I didn't know that something being zip-tied to a board prevented it from being possessed even if I'm still touching it. How big does the board need to be? Can I get a 2" by 2" piece of board and zip-tie it to the right side of the stock? Do I have to be raving about how inherently evil it is or can I just bring it to a range and shoot it? Neither of those two activites are themselves illegal, so I don't really see a difference. Zip tying it to a board would ensure it was not capable of going on a shooting rampage. I'm sure Mrs. Feinstein realized this was a possibility because the gun had to know she didn't like it and wanted to ban it. Could you really blame the gun for shooting someone who wanted to destroy it an all it's kin?

    And the problem with the right wing's 'claims' start with having no alternative to spiraling health care costs or a plan at all for the future health care needs of the country. 1/2 (at least) of the ACA is about cost controls and incentives to improve quality and bring down costs. The rest of the world IS doing it better for cheaper. I am amazed at how many seemingly intelligent people can't figure that out. Oh, I thought you were for reduced spending? I guess you are only for reduced spending as long as the reductions are for programs you don't like. It's amazing how seemingly intelligent people think like that. Just as amazing that an intelligent person can't figure out that the government will take all the tax dollars they collect for Obamacare and spend them on other projects leaving the program broke, just like they have done with Social Security and everything else.

    The problem with the Prof's claim is that ACA goes on forever. It's not just for one year. I am amazed at how many seemingly intelligent people can't figure that out.

    I can only laugh out loud when the Presidents approval ratings are as bad as Bush's ever were and his minions think that's a good thing and that they are "winning". I can only wish them continued success.

    What's unbelievable is people who think it's OK to keep borrowing and spending. When you are broke, it's might be wise to choose the most important bills to pay.     I've driven in DC traffic. Do you really think this will be much worse than any other Friday? Can you imagine the cluster fuck if people were actually forced to drive the speed limit? Add in trying to access exit ramps with semi's blocking them and the Beltway and all roads in and out of DC become the worlds largest parking lot. Imagine the anger level of commuters. Now add all these bulldozers trying to push these trucks off the road as has been suggested and you may have a huge "civil disturbance" on your hands.
