    Regular maintenance will save your internal moving metal parts, but generally does nothing for some of the other things that fail, such as timing and serpentine belts, batteries and terminals,(although regular cleaning can lengthen the life of the the cables and terminals). The big money items are the motor, transmission, rear-end, and quite often the cooling and fuel systems. Regular maintenance will significantly lengthen the life of these components.     I just finished my first time in the tunnel, 15 minutes in Orlando with one of the in house coaches. Holy Shit, do I feel like I learned more then about freefall than in my last 40 jumps! I spent the whole time (after the 1st 2 and 1/2 minutes), working on slowing my fall rate, since I'm a fat ass, and am tired of going low and not being able to pop up. Itchy did a great job teaching me. So point of post, I am now a firm believer in the tunnel as a teaching tool What you say is reflective of your knowledge...HOW ya say it is reflective of your experience.     I love Shakespeare, Victorian art, theatre, and yet, I've nevere been able to make it through without falling asleep. Same with Jane Austin films. Maybe I'm just an ass, but I can think of many better films that make you think. Crash, Philedelphia,(when it hit it was pretty contraversial), and the directing in Memento was pretty fantastic.
