That's how I feel about younger folks. Being 27 myself I don't have much to speak for, but I do bust my ass working 3 jobs to prove myself. I've jumped at Atlanta Skydiving Center and Skydive the Farm. STF is by far the best I've jumped at. Skydive Atlanta is a little bit further away than I'd like and don't know much about it, but I'll swear by STF. You can't go wrong. The neighbors is a great place to relax. I've always liked 5 points myself, there's an awesome mexican resturaunt just past Variety Playhouse with some KickASS Guacamole. Forgive me if I would actually like to see my brother before he leaves again for a year. Last time he was there he ran over a IED which blew his tires off and got shot at, luckily he was alright other than the therapy thing. I wanted to ask what ya'll thought about this. So yeah, he's going back, he's an MPI, military police investigator ( basically a detective, sorta) and he came home for two weeks. He's 23, young and dumb, and full of...you get the point. He's been dating this girl who's 21 or 22 for about 5 months. When they first started dating he knew it wasn't going to last. He knew he's going back to Iraq and it was just for fun. Within a month they'll have broken up and that'll be the end of it. Its happened before, I guarantee it's going to happen again. So, now, he's back, he's been back for a week and spent practically every second with her and my family and I have only seen him about 3 hours total. My brother-in-law bought my little brother and himself a tandem jump and they haven't had a chance to go jump yet. I wanted to go and at least watch them jump or jump with them. Low and behold his g/f has all these things planned and wants him to go Wednesday, the day I'll be at the station working 24 that day. Its got a 10% chance of raining in Rockmart on Thursday! Besides, this isn't about what I really do love and enjoy, this is about spending time with your family. Its about BROS before HOES! lol. HIV only survives outside of the body, exposed to the elements for approx. 45 seconds, TB is communicable but you have to be exposed for a while to recieve enough of the viral load to be infected. Like Broke said invest in a pocket mask for $5-$10, keep it in your car, gear, etc. That's what I do. If you don't have one I wouldn't recommend doing mouth to mouth. You only give it once before you carry around a mask. They beat that into your skull in Public Safety; Body Substance Isolation (gloves, etc), Scene safe, MOI/NOI, # of Pts, addition help. :) So, from a public safety view point, you only need worry about yourself before worrying about others. Its better to never expose yourself than catching something life threatening. But like I said, carry a little first aid kit with you; some gloves, mask, gauze 4x4 (sterile and unsterile) and ionized water and that'll pretty much cover anything you'll ever run into. Working in public safety I can say when there is an opportunity to get out in the public whether we are needed or not we are usually there because it looks good. Best advice would be if the feeling is mutual, hold off and keep that option open. Now for self-respect purposes, obviously, don't close off the rest of the world to any other good thing that comes your way.
