Haha, I think everyone relates. Those who get into skydiving become fanatics about it. I'll be honest, right now I only get a chance to jump once every two or three weeks, but I think about it every day. I'm on here every day. I look at the videos, read any articles I can get my hands on, critique past dives over and over in my head. I've become obsessed. As wrong as it sounds to say that, its a good thing. You'll be better prepared, more likely to help others, and inform those who have pondered the thought of trying skydiving. You'll do things safer than not being excited and/or obsessed. The risk in the sport will become "calculated risk", risks you can avoid. Just remember, experience is the worst teacher of all, it gives the test before the lessoned is learned. My girlfriend and I just got a Roomba, the little hockey puck shaped vacuum cleaner, and believe it or not, they do a great job. It cost us $150, which when it comes to vacuums is right around middle range. It does a great job and cleans our condo in about an hour. I love it in that neither of us have to do the vacuuming on carpet or sweeping on the hardwood. Worthy investment IMO. I named it Wall-E :) You know what's similar between Cops and Firefighters? Sweet, you live near by me, the Atlanta area I mean. Welcome! With that being said go to Skydive the Farm DZ. I don't work there, but I just finished my AFF there last week and they were really kickass. They are super friendly and you'll get more bang for your buck when money is tight. They focus on safety, of course, but everyone there is there to have fun and be safe. I've jumped at ASC and it seems like they do this as a job that has to be done. When I did my tandem they rushed the jump, handed me a video and pushed me out the door, being the last load of the day. Plus, they make you pay first and don't give refunds. When my family paid too jump at ASC and I then jumped at the Farm I was really disappointed to know how much better of a place it was to jump at. If your thinking about getting into skydiving in the Atlanta area, the Farm is a really awesome, personable place. I won't do you wrong, just a word of advice. It went real well. Sandy said she had trouble keeping up with me on my tracking, but then again I weigh twice as much as her. There really wasn't anything major that needed attention, smooth turns, transitions, and a clean pull. The last few jumps I've been rotating when I pull, but I fixed it. It was a beautiful sunset dive. I think those are my favorite. Plus you can drink beer right after :D You know what's similar between Cops and Firefighters? They both wanna be firefighters.
