I'm horrible about fixing things... usually end up costing more the first time around... but then I've learned something new and can do it better the next time. I can't tell you how many times I've taken something apart to fix one thing and ended up breaking something else inside it. Latest was my Ipod... broken LCD $20, broken clip on main board while replacing the LCD $65

Yes they can fixed... if you don't have electrical experience I recommend you take it to a professional. More than likely it is a simple LCD plugged into the control board by a ribbon cable... if this is the case then anyone with basic micro electronics skills could replace it with the right part. (Which should also be cheap if it is available)

It took me 8 hours to drive 180 miles home because I had to stop and take a nap every 20 miles -
Although I do stream a lot (netflix and hulu) I DL a lot more (through BT). Also I'm an avid gamer. I also have roommates. I've lived without cable internet when it wasn't available, while I was able to get middle tier DSL (3 Mbps) it wasn't enough. I currently have 10 Mbps cable and could easily use higher if it was available in my area (hurry up DOCSIS 3.0 or FIOS) Oh and FIOS is the way to go for TV also if its available

The biggest downside to satellite is not having cable internet... I can't live without cable speeds. I just download all my tv anyways so I can watch it whenever and I don't have to pay for HD or a DVR.

Damn!!! You beat me to it. I don't need my dog drinking that nasty water regardless of the fact that the person has flushed. It makes me sick to see dogs drinking out of the toilet and I'm sure as hell not letting mine! Only dogs I've ever owned could easily lift the lid (and did). Currently only have a cat and closing the lid keeps him out :)

This is one that has always bugged me... Assume an equal number of men and women living in the same house. Why is it a man's responsibility to put the seat down when he is done but not a woman's to put it up when she is done? Why is it not everyone's responsibility to configure the toilet to their own needs before using it? Personally I'm a proponent of closing the lid when it is not in use, but I always leave the toilet as I found it when visiting someone else house...

Watching the packers clean out my co-workers house because his deployment dropped with only a weeks notice... and saving money for the Good Vibes boogie next week so no jumping this weekend :(
