ND Candidate available to answer questions
SudsyFist replied to buzzfink's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
to me, that's characteristic of a strong leader, a rarity among political types. (disclaimer: i don't know buzz from adam. i jump at perris. ) in a democratic situation, you can hardly ask for better; your yay or nay is easily determined by how much commonality you share with the candidate on pertinent issues. less chance for wicked surprises (i.e., position shift based upon lobbying or other influences). steve -

GREAT POINT! not only due to size, but because of the ingenious architecture behind the $olution! i mean, think about it! they'll obviously write the app in vb, so the "compiled" code'll have to go thru the vb virtual machine, right? yeah!!! wooHOO!!! then they can use com to use a library that wraps other libraries ad nauseum to access the data. bitchin! ado, here we come!!! ok, so they'll obviously need a datasource. hmm. well, that's what odbc is for, right? i mean, it's super efficient in the way that it wraps oledb with a thick layer of worthless gobbledygook... yeah, that's it!!! vb to ado to odbc to mdb file!!! who woulda thought... talk about n-tier architecture! and once you get a few users trying to hit the database at the same time... POOF! yeeehaw! steve

and i'd be bundling up for that cold day in hell! too many campaign contributions on the line for a decision like that. way too many. steve
