Yea, I wish I had the money to buy another home. Unfortunately you can't touch anything down here in a "safe" area for under 350k. Can't qualify for something that much - so, unfortunately I'm stuck in renters HELL! I guess I'll have a better idea after I view the inside of the house, and how much privacy I'll actually get. God, I'm too old to be having roomates! I currently rent a 1000sf 2 bedroom apartment with my cousin. Having a roomate is, well to say politely, somewhat intrusive. I mean, I can't run around the place naked, being picky about cleanliness, etc. etc. Well, there is this 3000 sf house 2 blocks from the beach up for lease..... hmmm it's pretty pricy and if I want to do it, it means bringing on another roomate to afford the rent. The house is incredible! Neat floorplan, it has an atrium in the middle of the house, HUGE entry/living room. Nice master bedroom (which would be mine). I'm meeting with the owner in less than an hour to view the place. Hi Rosa, From Elsinore take 15 N, to 91 S, to 55 S till it ends (about a 45 minute drive). Or you can take Hwy 94, to 5 N, to 55 S. The music is primarily club mixes (some techno/hip hop/ etc.). Fiala is an awesome DJ, if you've been to any of the Elisnore parties you've probably heard him spin. The age range is twenties/thirties. Club Rain used to be "The Tiki." Club Rain (in Vegas) just recently bought it out, and put in tons of upgrades - the place is pretty bad-ass! I'm not much of club goer anymore (getting old), but this place is pretty cool and skydivers hang out here as one of our fellow skydivers runs the place. Feel free to PM me if you have any ????'s. Hi Mel, So. Cal is great ~ sometimes a bit too busy for my liking(I'm originally from Utah - country girl @ heart), but you can't beat the weather and accessibility to everything! The DZ's here are great. There are plenty to choose from in the LA area. The best part is Perris and Elsinore are only 20 minutes apart. Come and visit us sometime!

Hi Mel, I guess technically it wasn't a mal (according to what he is asking for) as I didn't cut-away. Yes, it was pretty scary. There were a few clouds and my instructors tried to get me into a hole for deployment. I ended deploying in a cloud - OMG - came through and I had a pilot chute over the nose, closed cells. I immediately began screaming, then told myself "calm down and deal." I did a control check and was able to navigate to the ground (thank god it was a student canopy that was HUGE/docile). My instuctors were shocked that I didn't cut it away. Unlike most, I am now terrified of clouds, and avoid them like the plague (I can't stand the white-out effect). I'm always nervous about a mal. I make certain to go through the motions on every jump... right, left, arch! Always reminding myself to BREATH and stay calm. I also deploy where I am confident that I have some time on my side (comfort zone for me).
