Has anyone ever had this happen before. My (or any) computer no longer recognizes my camera when I try and capture video. I was having no problems with connecting and capturing video until my friends plugged their CX 100's into the same computer for video download. The very next time I plugged in my HC9 the computer didn't recognize the camera. Here is the kicker, the same exact thing happened to my other buddies HC9 when we were trying to troubleshoot it. We now have two cameras that you can't connect to the computer via fire wire. We tried changing the cable, changing computers (even tried a Mac) and ensured all the settings were correct in the camera's menu. We even reset the HC-9 by pressing the reset button. When you connect the fire wire to the camera the Ilink message appears on the HC9 monitor, but the computer (or any computer) doesn't recognize the camera. Any ideas? Thanks for your help
