Yuri is writing a book titled aerodynamics and mathematics for wingsuit aviators. Big chapters devoted to glide and L/D, speed to fly calculations and dogfighting. He is having trouble finding a publisher so he may just have it on some kind of E-book download, most likely Lynux based.

Can't wait for the whole vid.

Who has the smoke available?

Did no one else see the original post as funny? Kris No in fact his anti- flock whine, resident trolling would be a little more tolerable if in fact it was a little funny. It definitely needs more cowbell.

How similar is this leg wing to a raptors?

The 105 is the pal version, 100 is the ntsc version or rather 50i vs 60i or something to that effect.

If you can't make that 100% true all of the time in WS you have no business in a wingsuit. Learn to track, learn to track well, like your life depends on it after a freefall skydive..... then think about wingsuits and not until.
-
Consider this scenario: After a normal wingsuit flight you delpoy your sabre2..it opens off-heading and in a gradual bank to the left from a direction you did not intend to face when you pulled. All of a sudden you see another canopy coming from your right and your paths are about to cross. On a normal jump you would go for your rear risers but you've barely had time to release you wings. You manage to quickly release one fast enough to grab a rear riser and avoid a collision. The fact you are in a wingsuit gives you the option of more separation for less altitude loss on brake off. Your deployment will ( should) be much further away from any other canopy by a large margin. The fact that lightly loaded docile canopys are recommended for WS which will not surge forward with great speed once open make this scenario even less benign. As an example on the 71 ways I had more separation than on any standard freefalling 20-way I'd been on.

Would these fall under the incriminating photo category Andrea? -
just don't make this discussion a witch hunt. making mistakes and breaking rules is not a crime - it's human nature. Correct the crime is not acknowledging the mistakes exist. The crime becomes a massive joke within the sport as those of us who have been around a while know mistakes are made, policies have been and will continue to be broken but yet those in place to clean house will tell you that nothing of the kind exists. That the program is the most stringent and complete ever and everything else is dangerous and doesn't compare.

BTW~ there will be a minimum experience requirement of 500 wingsuit jumps to be a part of this discussion.Quote You know that will leave out 90% of the wingsuits instructors don't you? Funny but true.

I wonder if final cut express will perform as well as pro in this case.

Kim Griffin actually trained my FFC. Oh the lovely Kimmy G, I hope she is doing well. She ground trained a bunch of us en mass 10+ back in 01~02 I forget. But we were weathered out so no actual flights despite Jari, Kim and ten other "experienced" birds standing by to take us up. Most of the serious ones already had our own suits. Eight of those guys just jumped solo when weather got better later in the week. I actually was contacted by a "birdman instructor" to finish the flight portion of the course the next weekend. He wanted slot plus cash. I was OK with that. Skyvan exit splendid, fantastic flight, hooked for life, me. The instructor performed the most ground hungry spaz flail exit I've ever seen. I thought he was going to die for sure. Something that would make you fail an AFF level and told never to come back to a DZ. I should have asked for my cash back+ my slot but euphoria from my stellar flight cemented my soul on cloud nine and all I could think about was more so I got back in line for the skyvan. I took several months of jokes from my 6 solo wingsuit friends for having hired the "instructor" that taught me so poorly. I only wish I was flying video ( not recommended, I complied) to capture the spaz-o-matic to put on skydiving movies. That might have put an early end to the factory approved wingsuit instructor foolishness we see today. Its sad that was only the first in a line of many wingsuit instructor frauds that we've seen. Believe it or not it got worst after that. It was four years later that we finally met a "wingsuit instructor" that we couldn't outfly by a huge margin. One we could respect. A few years later another good one and then another good one, really the few. But the legions of shit birds that paraded by claiming instructor status, spare me the pain. But that taught us ( mostly me)if we take up a new wingsuiter to make it more memorable, like it should be. We didn't charge slot+ plus time+suit rental. We were not selling anybrand of suit. More often than not there was video ( no charge for the dub or dubs) just a welcome to join us any time and a hope you buy any suit and join us more often. My first flight will never be as memorable to me as other persons first flights I've conducted or challenging fun flights I've been on.

The coincidence of those two posting so closely together after I outed their non flock paradigm just proves my point.

I've jumped with he real Tony years ago. Even when he got a V-1 and had trouble hanging with a flock. I haven't seen him in years........ in fact I believe he is under deep cover and can't post. These posts are from Yuri who has stolen his logon. I know that anti-flock attitude anywhere.

I wish I had his Phantom II (or is it a Phantom III). What is different about it, tell us?
