    We were discussing it today at the DZ. 2nd hand statement (from someone who heard from someone who was there but did not see the event) was no one knew why he deployed late. Also, I didn’t know he was hurt as bad as people are saying. His father posted the Youtube video. Since family posted the vid I poached it and pasted it here. I say he gets credit for the feat. Thoughts and prayers with him and his family.

    I agree with Ron. The school does count. The University of South Florida stacks up well. Good school and year-round access to: Skydive Tampa: 40 minutes Z-hills: 40 minutes Lake Wales: 60 minutes Deland: 90 minutes Orlando wind tunnel: 75 minutes No skiing though. But make sure you pick a school with a program you want to pursue for the next 30 years. A good education and job you enjoy will open up every DZ in the country. Although Uncle Sam is paying, put his money to good use for you. And thanks for your service.

    Here’s how you fake a Protrack logbook, Leave it at the DZ and let anyone take it up for a jump. It could turn loads without even repacking. After awhile you’ll have hundreds of jumps on it you didn’t make. Easy. Oh, by the way, my Protrack matches my logbook.

    Hey – I have to chime in on this one, being of German origin and proud to be an American. But when you state “Are you familiar with those Downfall Hitler rant spoofs on YouTube? I keep imaging Airtec's reaction to this accident as one of those rants since it's a German company after all.” This is a highly prejudiced statement, which in turn belies your basically prejudiced personality. Are you now saying that everyone from Germany is a Hitler? That’s what your statement easily indicates about your personal makeup. Prejudice within a psychologist personality, shame on you. Sorry for posting this in the morning at a decent hour, but at 4am I’m in bed.

    Puzzles were always big in my family growing up. I didn’t notice it until atard mentioned it. Just couldn’t pass up the challenge. The jpg’s are from page 20 of the Jan 2011 issue.

    Water is not compressible. It is not used in your breaks because it causes corrosion and turns to steam under high temperature. Steam is compressible. That is why your breaks are mushy when they have water in the lines.

    How many times do you dirt dive the jump? I bet I did dozens of dirt dives before each AFF jump. Practice on the ground so it’s more instinctual in the air. Dirt diving rules.

    Some of you’re a license jumps need to be witnessed by other jumpers. At our DZ the senior jumpers will do two ways with the students foregoing any coach jump cost. Ask around. Your seniors may do the same.
