Would you recommend Lodi for a first tandem jump?
jrcolo replied to ConfusedVorlon's topic in Events & Places to Jump
I did my first tandem there, then flew back 3 months later and did my aff there. (I live on Colorado) Personally I love the place. I wished I lived there to jump all the time. Just my $0.2. -
Who is wrong in this video? near canopy collision
jrcolo replied to liftedtitan's topic in Safety and Training
If I remembed correctly Mile High didn't have a set patern before this happend. Now they have a set patern depending on the way the wind is coming from. Maybe they had a set patern depending on what side of the pee pit you were on? It was something like that. As far as I know they still have left and right hand patterns. -
Just got on the ground from balloon jump #3

His rig does have tuck tabs, its brand new, and has spectra lines . As far as packing goes I double checked the slider after it was in the bag and it was against the stops. Thanks for all the replys, lots of good ideas for me.

The canopy has about 15 jumps on it. He says he was flat and stable when he deployed. He does have a fast fall rate though, but its never been an issue before?

I have a friend that had a "slammer" opening on sunday. He jumps a spectre 190 loaded at about 1.1. He said the second he pitched it was open. It also sounds like he had some bad riser slap, cause it took off his helmet (Z1). I know packing could cause this but what else could be a factor?

Think about cliff jumpers? Some are hitting the water at 80 mph headfirst. I think your chances would be pretty good pending on body position at impact?
