  8. ROFLMAO!! I am laughing because I was going to post a similar statement today! I logged on and it said 253 new messages...I thought, fuck that! No way can I read all those! What the hell is the matter with you people? Posting lunatics, I swear!! hahahaha Just kidding guys, you know I love ya! Still...you're some post happy typers! Sis I may be crazy, but I'm not suicidal! Got Cypres?
  9. On the first cloud jump I made - UH, I mean industrial haze - (Sis clears her throat) my buddy told me, "DON'T open in them." (unless you have no choice) You can't tell if anyone is around. You could open and immediately crash into another jumper who was still in freefall, you could have canopy collisions easily while flying around in a cloud...the potential disasters are numerous. If its pull time and you are in a cloud, you probably shouldn't be jumping that day!! My $.02 (P.S. I think they're cool too, and sometimes its ok to jump through "industrial haze" like if the cloud base is high, say 8 or 9 thousand feet or more. Anything below five or six and I'm staying on the ground, no matter what the pilots and DZ are doing. The FAA bans jumping through clouds for a reason, although I think they are somewhat too restrictive...) Sis I may be crazy, but I'm not suicidal! Got Cypres??
  10. oh damn, folks! give the Sis a break! hahahahaha...i work nights, remember? so i may be checking out the forums during my shift (which is from 4 to midnight central time) but i may have to answer a crisis call!!! I apologize!! ???) hehehehehehehe who de doo dee whoooooo!!! whoop dee dilly oooooo!!!! uh, ok...well i am sort of excited right now too, about another human, but i am certainly never letting someone dictate whether i am going to quincy or not!!! they better want to go with me and jump together or we ain't hookin' up!! if they can't go because of some work reason or something, i forgive them ahead of time...you never know what is going to happen in august, ya know???!?!?!?!?!!!!! 11. Well, I know that I love my psychology stuff, and I still find it interesting, but a lot of days I just get hooked on dz.com and weather.com and there goes my damn day! Productivity out the window!!! I still love my studies, yet I also find it hard to concentrate on them! Very weird for me, let me tell ya!!! (OK, so its five AM, give me a break!!) LOL Sis
  12. freaksister

    Quincy?

Triple F, sure you can ride along! But no handcuff action for you, as I may have another dz.commer as my sex slave by then! wouldn't you like to know? LOL Anyway, I am taking Bwilling and another friend of mine named Lawrence, so you're more than welcome to come along! The only requirements are: we all share driving, we all buy beer, and we all get fucking crazy!!! WOOHOO!!! Sis
  13. Sangiro, For the ladies, I think baby-doll tees are a good idea. Not one size fits all though. I don't wear the ones that show your stomach or anything like that. Or, the kind of tank top with spaghetti straps? White with the dz.com logo on it sounds perfect to me... Let's face it: We all have two addictions: Skydiving and Dropzone.com!! Might as well advertise it! I am glad Sangiro is responding finally, after all this time! LOL Sis
  14. Frank, I too aspire to be a FF photographer/videographer. I am a shutterbug. Love pics! I am not a geek...I work in too much crazy shit to one of those! LOL...(ok ok maybe I am in denial) I love computers and I am good at upgrading them. I am better with hardware than software...but my job is not computer related. I am psychology student who helps rape and domestic violence victims for a living. Sis
  15. Guess what folks? I have never heard of tossing the PC in the air to see if it floats before. I have not seen anyone do this. Interesting...I am going to start doing that. I also never heard of looking inside the netting...I was just told to look for green and go. I check it several times, but only that way. Now I have another method at my disposal! Merrick...I am sure the thing would open fine.
  16. Pammi, Diva...Like I told Pammi this weekend: I am living proof they will give an A license to anybody these days! LOL Don't worry! hehe Kiss some ass at the dz and you'll be fine! hahaha Kingy, Congrats!! Welcome to the land of dz opportunity! (you can go wherever you want)
  17. I like to eat something light before jumping, like a sandwich or a slim-fast...anything too heavy and I get tired/sleepy or nauseous. I don't eat much if at all during the day at the dz but I pour as much liquid (preferably water) down my throat as I can. I always always always!!! take a cooler to the dz filled with juice, water, red bulls, and beer! Now that I jump at a dz with a cafe its easier to get something to eat, and the food is actually really good. I have to eat after jumping, it is like I suddenly get really hungry. I can go all night long too, partying or whatever. I am tired and sore usually, but don't seem to "crash." Depends on how my week has gone stuff like that. If I haven't had much sleep I won't make as many jumps (I never set any records anyway) and I will party less. I have found the best cure for a tired sore body after jumping is a hot bath and lots of sex! that doesn't surprise ya'll does it? haha Sis
  18. Hey all, I have lots of stuff like Sasha, Keoki, Crystal Method, LO-FI, etc. Trust me folks, I am one techo lover. I personally would not call Sasha "light house" I would call it Trance...Trance is actually my favorite genre of electronic music. However, I like most of it, including Ambient, and Drum & Bass/Jungle i.e., DJ Dara...Roni Size & Reprazent, Goldie, etc. Most of my whuffo friends are DJs and clubkids... Sis
  19. Well we are supposed to be doing a psychological study on thrill-seeking behavior but I haven't done much yet 'cause I'm lazy...so if we ever get it done I will let ya'll know. Actually some of you could even participate. PS - I think psychoanalysis is 80% worthless...but that is just my opinion (I think Freud was a fruitloop)...I don't believe our dreams are manifestations of our "unconscious desires" or fears...I think its just our brain being active and playing with different scenarios.
  20. the day i got my gear i went apeshit! :) luv it luv it! be careful though! watch everything careflully! luv ya'll, sis
  21. Iona! Way cool to hear from you, woman! I say, whips are a woman's best friend! I bet you can't always get Mike to take his meds, and let's face it, veterinarians can be mighty unreliable! If I had all those horse meds at my disposal....uh, well, um...never mind that! There is a reason I am not a pharmacist! LOL Whips are good Iona, so are handcuffs and collars. I think that we don't have to be overly cruel, these tame men nowadays seem have no compunction left! Hmpf! I tell you, woman, if I was married, oooohhhh lordy! My troubles would be incalculable! (Of course, unless I met someone utterly handsome and debonair, who jumped out of planes...yuck! never mind, that sounds like James Bond, and I SOOOO don't want to marry him!) Blue Skies and Keep that man under the collar and leash, Sis
  22. Mike!!! Send me some medication! I thought that when winter eased up a little and I got some jumps in, that I would be better off mentally. WRONG!! I am hotter for a jump than ever! This is getting unbearable. After two or three months without a jump, you get a little used to it, a little complacent, you think, ah, well it's OK, I will get to jump in the Spring. Yes, and when you do you'll be all nervous and then after that, each jump you make will drive your senses crazy! I have jumped more recently, and I have been analyzing my last few jumps over and over! It's like the damn Energizer bunny! Xanax? Valium? Somebody help the Sis! She is losing it! Plus she sooooo needs to go to GA to meet someone! ARGH! How am I going to make it until Saturday when I can jump? hoping for mass jumps this weekend, sis
  23. Since I am not a "brit lady" I am relieved that I do not have to comment on Triple F's post!
  24. I am glad you asked this question! As some of you may remember I am big on canopy control...well I don't feel like mine is good enough. I certainly need to brush up on accuracy. I decided yesterday that I am doing a canopy course for sure, for real, this spring. I have been talking about it for months but it hasn't worked out. Well, I am MAKING it work now. I considered getting some good accuracy jumpers at local DZs to help me, but I thought, if I have to cool, but if I can, get a real canopy control course. I am thinking, April or May would be a great time to do it. I was trying to decide where to go. The only places that I know of which do it are Deland and Elsinore. Marana AZ does it but only a couple times a year I think. So I am also requesting input from those who have used Elsinore's program, because from what I understand it is fairly new. Deland's is proven I am sure. You know what else kind of bugs me? I jump at a big DZ, with great facilites, it is a SDU campus, with Rob Laidlaw on site, and yet we don't have a canopy control program. This is something I would like to see at more DZs. It is inconvenient to have to fly 1200+ miles to do a ccc. My $.02 Sis
  25. Hey San, great pics! I am a shutterbug myself, so I dig looking at pics. (One reason I have GOT to learn to fly and do photography and video in freefall!) Anyway, as others have said, it is great to have you back. I am not surprised at the 1400+ posts on the forums! I go out of town to jump for two days and come back to anywhere from 150-300 new posts! Geezus, people, ya'll are as talkative as me! LOL! (that's why I love ya!) Well, I am glad the forums didn't collapse under the weight of the new posts while you were gone and you didn't mysteriously dissapear out in the desert...yeah, I believe in some of those consipiracy theories!! hahaha Blue Ones, Sis
