    I'd be inclined to think that the power mongering church hierarchy was more likely not really Christian. Don't confuse the Church with the Religion. You are only as strong as the prey you devour

    Really it's an all or nothing religion-most are. You can agree or disagree but you can't half agree and still be a true member, and calling yourself something doesn't make it so. You are only as strong as the prey you devour

    Yes it is-I don't support the practice, but I tolerate their beliefs. Just like I support the beliefs of both hetero and homosexuals. I just don't think I should have to deal with anyone's sexuality that I'm not actually sleeping with and I don't think grammar school is the time to broach the subject or that school is the place to do it outside of health ed at an appropriate developmental stage. AND, I think that others should be tolerant of my beliefs even if they aren't wise enough to agree with them.. You are only as strong as the prey you devour

    Once again-the problem wasn't the speech, it was the study helps that that focused on the person Obama instead of the nation , where loyalty should be. The study guides were changed. I'm good with the speech. It could be inspiring. The President is a heck of a speaker when he has prepared statements. I think that he, his advisers, or handlers should have been in touch with the nation enough to realize there would be some flash from those study notes. It was just a lack of experience in this level of scrutiny that caused the oversight and that particular verbiage. Obama, like past Presidents, is surrounded by people he chose because they think like he does. I think the administration should pay me to follow Obama around just to ask him several times a day "Have you really thought about this?". I could be the Get A Clue Czar.     So, it's OK-different-acceptable-as long as it's your way. Come on-I don't have have kids and I know that broaching the subject of sexuality in nearly any context puts a parent in a position of having to discuss with their 5 year old a subject the child is not yet prepared to understand. I won't even get in to the fact that many consider it a moral issue which brushes it up against religion. If religion isn't allowed in school, anti religion should have to follow the same constraints. You are only as strong as the prey you devour

He just got on the wrong side of the SVS and most guys that do agree with him are afraid to say so because they might upset some chick that they'll probably never actually meet and who won't show her boobs if they do. What is the president asking me to do? " "Are we able to do what President Obama is asking of us? " "Why does President Obama want to speak with us today? How will he inspire us? How will he challenge us?" "What resonated with you from President Obama’s speech?" It's the push from DC and the organized discussion agenda. If someone just noted that the President was giving a speach on education and some educators were going to watch it in class and discuss it. It would be beneath notice.
