I'm with you; I think it would be a nice option to have. Too bad one of them doesn't offer it; might just generate a few more sales opportunities. JerryBaumchen PS) Or 'you' could organize a letter-writing campaign. it would also open up more room for human error. I happen to like the factory setting Yes it would but that could be decided by the individual operator of each device. I nor anyone else is saying that all aad's should operate at a higher altitude, but some of us may want the option. I personally pull higher than alot of skydivers. I pull between 4k and 3.5 k on almost all of my jumps. I am not that worried about a 2 out. Im not one of them dirty low pullers. But most of my jumps are FF jumps and i think with the higher speeds i have a better chance of being knocked out. But i only jump in groups with people i trust and if im jumping with a newer jumper or someone i dont know or someone else can not tell me how good the are then i will do a solo with them and trust that i can get out of there way if need be. The caravan door is a little smaller than the otter door. At least that has been the case with all of the caravan's and otters i have seen. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!

I have thought about this alot of times. Do you know if i can get my cypress 2 changed by the manufactor? No you can not. You have the option to manually set it before each jump to a different altitude. It's designed that way in case the take off point and landing zone are at different altitudes. Remember though, every jump. Not just once in the morning. If you truly want it to fire higher, set the *landing zone* higher. Read the manual. Learn how it works. Thanks i understood you could do that I was just hoping they could reprogram and make it perminant. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!

Gotta love this deaf couple's excitement and exuberance
JohnDeere replied to BillyVance's topic in The Bonfire
Awesome! They seemed to be more into it and mentaly there than the average 1st time jumper. To see them sign in the air is great. they seemed more mentally there than most. Reminds me of a deaf jumper i met awhile back that i was sitting down with with a translator. He had about 35 or so jumps and i was asking him about his exp. with jumping. He said he def. had an advantage in free fall..... that he could actually talk to other deaf people..... my dumb ass had not put 1 and 1 together untill he pointed it out. Nothing opens like a Deere! Skydivers Annoy neighbors - Press clipping
JohnDeere replied to PhreeZone's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I am so glad we dont have any McNastys! I was told we used to have one but not that i know of now. I was just in the mayors office last friday with another jumper. The mayor could not say enough good things about our DZ and how the town valued us being there. We were just trying to give him a free tandem (dont know if he is going to or not just yet) and sat down with him for a while as a couple of fun jumpers. But our DZ in general is very nice to our neighbors! Edit cause im a dumbass Thanks John Rich Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers! -
You got it right! Save the money you can and do as many jumps as you can a month. Worst case is that you find out that skydiving isnt for you and you have some money laying around. Have fun. Were you doing your course at? Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!

RIGGERS: Suggested training for Vigil customers
JohnDeere replied to tdog's topic in Gear and Rigging
you ask what will happen if the cypres is on for 13 hours and 50 min in the plane.......so the vigil will stay for that jump but as soon as the vigil sits on the ground after that 13 hours and 50 min and one jump....it sits there for 30 min while being packed and waiting for the next student to use it, it will shut off also..... at least be fair when comparing. I say go with a 2 piece suit. A one piece has one less zipper (to mess up) but a 2 piece is great for in the summer so you can take the jacket off between loads while packing etc. You can tie the top of a one piece around your waiste while in between loads but it sucks when its hot and sucks laying on the extra knot while packing. If my extra one piece will fit you then you can use it to see if you like a one or two piece and to check out your fall rate. Or just use it till your suit gets here. I personally have 2 Fire Flys suits and have had no problems out of them. I say once you figure out what suit and fit of suit go ahead and order it. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! And you could not be more wrong. You are normanly spot on but you are wrong here! That is correct for some insurance companys but not all. No we are living in a computer age were some companys are basing there info on what a computer tells you someone is worth. A I love debt score means you like and or acept debt as a way of life, I dont. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!

Close enough to put an end to this silliness. The canopy was "commissioned" by Mike Lyon, D-175, who was at the time selling Pioneer stuff for PI out of Orange, MA. Pioneer offered all seven colors, but you could order no more than three even in a custom canopy. Mike argued that in order to sell canopies, he needed one that contained all seven, and Pioneer built just one -- this one. It now resides at Jumptown, and we dragged it out this past weekend as part of events marking the 50th anniversary of the opening of the country's first commercial parachuting center. Mike (here with Lew Sanborn) got "current" after not having jumped for several years. He sort of knows how to fly -- he's a retired 747 captain. We also dredged out some other old equipment and made several of our current jumpers grateful they never had to jump it. HW So your saying it has double line attachments, and that is what makes it unique? Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!

Thanks for your service! Glad you are ok and jumping again. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!

I have a V3 and would much rather have one that is big, fat, and square than one that is too thin and weak! I know it would take alot more to bend or break my pin than some other manufactors chicken shit weak pins! Just my opinion but that is how i feal about reserve pins. Nothing opens like a Deere!
