  1. Chicken? So Glad you Had a wonderful time down here for Mardi Gras. Btw check the spelling. I am a little suprised you got in though..I didn't think we allowed your kind at our DZ. But I suppose Mardi Gras is a time when you can let your standards slip a little. OK Dear just kidding! I called the DZO and told him to check your post and He wanted me to tell you make sure you guys come back next year. For those who have never been to Moss Point during Mardi Gras it is a true boogie and we are a family oriented DZ with all the fixins. Dear ya need to check my thread on the night jump. Quickdraw came through and has a really great pic of us before we boarded the DC that night Tell the guys I said HI Craig
  2. ya know I think this thread is gonna get interesting this evening.Ithink the girls are gonna hammer me! But I also think you and I agree more than disagree craig
  3. No , ha ha I was just stating the facts..LOL
  4. do you remember the name of the town it was in..was it cedartown?
  5. Wow that Sucks, how about we all boycott atlanta till they either A: agree to give them an unlimited raincheck...my personal first choice. Or B: refund what do you think folks? craig
  6. ha read my post about the rifle thing i wrote that w/o seeing your funny...
  7. Well I do agree with you also, on many of these points, but you are also speaking from the point of view of an expierenced teacher. You are probably an instructor and Have been for years. I was an Army instructor of a coed school for many years. I used to always say I'd rather teach a city girl to shoot then a country boy..I could make them better. Based on what you have said I am sure you understand the reasons..I agree she will Listen and He will prob try to tell me how he bagged a buck from 300 yds. and all said and done she will bullseye at 800 and he will balme his rifle. But that is structured training..give me this if a male and a female with the same EXP show up at a new DZ.say 50 Jumps each who is going on that six way and who is going solo, or as I said in my post end jump jumping with another coupla guys also with 50 jumps and learn 1/10 what she does that day. Thats just the way it is, now structured training is a little diff, if you can pay you can play. There are exceptions, one of the skydivers I most respect coached me for nothing when I had about 15 jumps, and does this often at our DZ..regardless of gender. and I have seen others do this and many other DZ's. I have a gut feeling you are one of these people thats why I said the nice things. And when I am there of instructor calibur I will keep the faith Craig
  8. well By your input I'm sure your one of the exceptions..and I thank you for your dedication
  9. ok man well were were the girl and guy out just behind you, I have been posting and searching. I guess you read the post that quickdraw will post what he has. If ya find more let me know and If I do the same I will holler at ya Great jump wasn't it Craig
  10. I don't know if I qualify as a "hot chick" , but I already told Casquito about Mel's new Ex-Cel Camp at Elsinore that begins this weekend. I told him to come on over the hill and say "hello" whenever he'd like some personalized help. It's true that when I was beginning, sooo many people reached out to me and still do. Don't kid yourself, and I do not mean to be rude, but just look around @ any Dz and you will see all the experienced guys lining up to jump with girls. and if you are a low time male jumper you often have to jump with other low time males and learn the hard way. of course their are some execptions to this rule and they are the truly dedicated teachers
  11. I've heard the name he has a profile on here I have seen his posts. also He is from my Dz I think if I see him again I'll send ya something
  12. Yeah that show sucks..I watch it anyway for the jumping. They had 1 of this student who is " screaming and out of control" and all he was doing was checking his alti and announcing the alti to the JM's. of course later he did chop @ about 300ft and burn in. Perfectly good main too, was just headed for the woods I think
  13. Gary, check out the personal Galleries a guy name doublspock took pics inside the DC. Your group and mine will not show well but you will know its you. You guys did a 2 way HD right? Craig
  14. they have to be..there were very few peeps and I remember you taking the pic..I think you were with a girl yes?
  15. P>s> I aploigize JJ I misunderstood what you said..but fact is alot of people DO forge stuff that never happened. and that jump was nearly cancelled
  16. Dear Quick Draw, Yaaaaaaa...that be us and those were the pics I've been asking about..you would be my hero if you would send me some copies via e-mail or hard mail. My E-mail is Orbitjunkie@yahoo.com and if ya need to send via Hard mail let me know I will send you my address in a PM. of course I will pay. craig
  17. Sal, good question we will all help you learn? "dirt Diving" is simply the term used to mean rehearsing the skydive on the ground. For example when you practised the exit and dive flow of your AFF jumps you were "Dirt Diving" .Teams use it to ensure everyone knows their place and maneuvers in the skydive. The term "Wuffo" came about in the 70's or so. It came from Non-Skydivers asking the notorious Question: What For? or Wuffo you jump outta dem planes. Consider the era and the slang speech of the time. ( everbody was jive talking..da da da da) I have a question now ? does anyone know where the term "Dildo" came from? that would be 1 I would like to hear about. craig
  18. this was also my first impression, you prob are turning with your feet..practice toe touches
  19. Frank, How far south ya going...it is a relative question
  20. I agree with dave..if there are no line burns..where was the pilot chute? sounds like it went around the middle
  21. Dear Sal, I changed DZ's at AFF level 3 because I moved. I had no problems whatsoever, if Fact I found my New DZ (Gold Coast Skydivers) was better..it was a little smaller and I got more attention. I would think @ level 8 or nine it would even be better. Cause they will prob give you a little more attention at first to make sure your ready. also you are ready for solo anyway so should be able to handle yourself in the air. there is also the issue of currency so I would reccommend you go to what other DZ you have in Mind and check it out. If you are satisfied..then jump. craig
  22. According to the SIMS you still on student status till you get your A. Technically you are supposed to be jumping solo or with a rated coach or higher. Technically anyways
  23. Ditto...^ mi is quite a bit..I would love to hear that 1. sounds like wind was way too high for students. and a bad spot..but I don't wanna guess too much..what Happened?
