How many jumps do you have out of curiosity ? There might not be a problem with the gear or the wingloading, it just may come down to good old fashioned experience levels. There will be nothing to stop you using your gear once you've shown your instructors your capable of meeting their requirements. Hmm.. I'm still current (last jump being April 2nd) but I probably won't jump until December. I'm trying to get 2 rigs together and double up when I do get the chance though, having said that, I find jumping en masse (100+ in a few weeks) accelerates my personal learning curve, improves my confidence & gives me time to observe other peoples techniques (in the air as well as on the ground). I'm not in a well paid job, and I like to make my quality time count... and yes I sometimes get a little bit down looking at my jump numbers and time served, but I know I'm not the only one, and boy does it feel good when you finally get the chance. -- Hope you don't die. -- I'm fucking winning

As someone who's trying to go by the book, I would have thought a simple phone call and/or maybe staying in the car until you arrived might have been considered more courteous in someone else's manor. Was there any unique circumstances that prevented that from happening to your knowledge ?
