I have sent KIRO an email stating my views on their coverage. I too was upset they implied Kapowsin somehow contributed to the death of the skydiver, whose father they interviewed. I found it sad. I hope you keep us posted on anything you find out. I don't intend on watching KIRO any longer. It will be interesting to see if I get a reply back from them. Yes, that news coverage was offensive. You can't even call it news, but sensationalism. I will be emailing KIRO to voice my opinion on this story and I won't be watching their news show (if that's what you want to call it) any longer. I hated the part where they were talking with the father of a skydiver that died and implied Kapowsin had something to do with the fact that his chute didn't open. How can the safetiness of Kapowsin have any bearing on that incident? Skydiving is a risk all skydivers take and the circumstances of this young mans death were never clearly stated other than his chute didn't open. And the statement, 'I nearly killed several students', how did he know if they were students or licensed skydivers? I'm not sure what brand mine are, but they are orangish in color and look like bullets with a flared top. You can buy them at drug stores where the ear/eye stuff is located. They really work and it has been the only kind I have found that did work. They are very soft so the tighter you get them in your ear, the less you hear! And you can wash them so they last longer. Yup, that's what I broke, my sacrum. Not much fun, hurt to do almost everything, but it eventually got better. It hurt to sit, it hurt to get up, it hurt to laugh, it hurt to bend down, you name it, it hurt!!! But no other complications from that break. I'm hoping they do a decent report, but I doubt it. I will be watching. I know that this dz has had problems with various 'neighbors'. So I'll wait to see the report before getting upset over this. Yes, it is possible. I fractured my tailbone in a car accident. It hurt like hell and for quite some time it hurt after sitting for long periods. It does get better and there really wasn't a lot they can do for it. J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings.

I am really looking forward to watching this broadcast, this is all making me a little 'ill'. I can remember one time I was at Kapowsin, when Jesse had to make a call because some airplane was flying over the dropzone when jumpers were there. It does sound like a lot of 'crap'. It's in the process of being replaced as I type.....I'm using my hubby's computer (It's pathetic!). He loves me enough to give me the good computer, which is weird because that is the one he is replacing the fan on! All I can say is, it better work. I'm hoping it doesn't take all day.
