Chris, Bad luck on getting a cold now. I hope you started heavy doses of Vit. C throughout the day and started taking zinc lozenges and drink lots of water and good old chicken soup. Yeah, it will be, but I wanted her to skydive so bad that I just don't care. Figure a few less trips to eat out is worth it. I think it is very cool, and the finances don't matter, the two of you will be sharing the love of skydiving. It's probably true that after she saw someone she knew (female) skydive, made her want to try! Good for her. Funny, the Pacific NW is have 90 degree days, yesterday and today!! It's nice for a change to see someone else get all the rain. Never fear though, our rain will be back. Actually, the weather we have had the last few days usually doesn't happen until late July or August. Sure hope some of this good weather returns for Skymama's visit! My grandson's, other grandparents are scared that I will be having their (mine too) grandson jumping out of 'perfectly good airplanes'! Ha! I tried to explain to them about perfectly good airplanes, but they didn't get it. I also told them, I wouldn't 'make' him skydive. Hehehe......only if he wants to jump, but then he is only 2, but I 'fly' him around the room and we're working on his arch!!! So, what was it on the video that changed her mind? Had she never seen a video of you skydiving before? For someone so against it, I would have thought she would do a tandem first? Good for her and you!!!!! Hope everything goes well and she gets 'hooked' on skydiving. What a drain that will be on the finances, huh? I'm from the Seattle area, but I really couldn't answer all your questions. Have you tried mapping it on MapQuest or something? I cannot remember which ferry or where you catch it, for Orcas Island. Seattle Metro website should be able to tell you if there is a bus route between the airport and the ferry terminal. Geez, I'm not much help am I?
