I can assure you, that's pretty much how it is in the Miami Beach modeling scene. I agree with the original post--I caught 2 minutes of that show "Yo Mamma"---BOR-ING! But, admitedly, I do still enjoy the Real World Other than that, I don't watch much anymore except once in a while flipping channels out of horror (when I say horror, I refer to their show "Sweet Sixteen". OMGosh!!! These parents are NUTS! I don't care how much money my father made, I didn't get b-day parties past the single-digits and even then, they were modest, to say the least. I can't believe how these brats act!) Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

What's with the puffy lips on every chic on tv ?
PLFXpert replied to cocheese's topic in The Bonfire
I would have to know the story behind that. I see your point. Most often, what I see in the before picture, could be causing breathing or other problems. Ironically, though, that's the most ANNOYING excuse for a "nose job" Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -

I understand your point. But I still believe said "self-esteem boost" would be better served and have longer potential if it came from the mind, not the body. Fixing something (I say, "fixing" but that doesn't seem right...) on your body might make one feel better about themsevles for a while, but it is not long-term b/c it does not solve what is REALLY causing one to feel badly about themselves. I must add, though, that everyone's line is different. For me, some might call me a hypocrite, but I think teeth are OK. I don't think that falls in the same category as plastic surgery. If one needs teetch straigtened (which is needed to prevent other problems) or whatever, and that has bothered them, I say go for it. But, we all know I'm royally obsessed with my teeth. I have big teeth and they were crooked when I was young. I had braces. I love my smile (and am weirdly complimented on my teeth often) and I admit if it didn't look as it does now, I would probably have issues about it. Having said that, I just don't think that's the same thing as plastic surgery. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -

B/c I'm in a mood, I'll be brave and suffer the consequences for the following statements (my opinion): Yes, you can be rich & trashy. Fake anything is never done "tastefully". Rarely do naturally thin girls have large na-na's. I believe they make a smaller girl look cheap, as do the overly puffed lips, etc. Plastic surgery to me is a cry for attention. Natural is the way to go. Learn to love what God gave you people, and WORK IT! Sorry...I'm SO tired of this epidemic. Yes, I understand "the pressures" blah, blah, blah. And yes, it's easier for some to say than others, I guess. I LIVED in an industry for a while that loads on the pressure. But, if you love yourself, it won't get to you for more than two seconds. If you have issues with yourself, you need to work on you MIND, not your body. Your bodies are NOT the problem. And that's my story Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -

I can't stand that look, either. But, what's hilarious is how it bugs men more than women. My hunny always grimaces when he sees that. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -
I do! Are you kidding? I thought everyone did. It's like cleaning your hair or washing your face. You're SUPPOSED to blow your nose. That's the best time. It is hilarious to me anyone would find that gross. I'd much rather people blow their nose in the shower than me have to watch & listen to them 10 feet away from me. I think THAT'S kinda gross. I don't want to see/hear that! In the shower, though? Ya'll "no" answerers are nuts! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Yes, I felt bad for the poster of the "lasik eye surgery" thread. They didn't get the memo. We don't do serious on Fridays. Having said that, I'm extremely disappointed with the action today. I will leave unsatisfied and frustrated Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I don't mean to sound naive...but is "getting wet" down there really this much of an issue? Quite frankly, I've never needed assistance in that department. So....well, I just thought people liked lube for the different flavors & aromas Seriously Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Example: Me. Go back to the first pages of dz.com. Not only was a young (20 then) and new to the sport, but you'll see my participation was limited to sex threads and skydiving discussions. Now that I'm older (25 now) it's just sex threads....and sex threads Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
