  1. The other day I made a comment about feeling completely unsexy & Billy replied, "Um, hello? Have you seen yourself naked lately? Trust me. You're sexy." We've been together seven years and I tend to walk around naked after I shower for at least an hour. I guess he's not tired of it yet. I understand what you're saying though. I mean, no, everytime Billy emerges from the shower or changes clothes I don't jump into sexual overdrive. But, I still find him damn sexy, naked or not. And certainly he still turns me on.
  2. I knew somebody. If you don't know somebody, get to know somebody. Most people in any industry you'd want to be in remember how hard it was for them to get in. Call them up, introduce yourself, offer to meet them for coffee or lunch. After a couple meetings, perhaps even the first, they'll likely hand deliver your resume themselves. Referrals always get priority.
  3. I addressed that. Yes, we have used it. No, we do not use it often. Is it mmmk with you I replied anyways, threadmaster? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  4. We got Netflix as a gift (6-month subscription) for Christmas. I thought it was cool, but did not think it'd be the sort of thing I'd actually want to renew... We freaking LOVE it! (I have XP & high speed.) Only downside is I'd rather just pay for a year, or whatever, and they insist on a monthly auto-deduction from whatever card you have registered. I suppose I could buy myself a gift subscription but...I think that's stupid. Plus their customer service sucks. But your downside of waiting days, at least for us, is bogus. I'll drop mine in the mail on a Monday and have my next movies on Wednesday! (We're on the three-at-a-time) It's insanely fast! And I love that they have an extremely wide selection--we don't have a big "indie" flicks scene where I live and I LOOOOOVE indie flicks. Ooo, and new releases are ALWAYS immediately available. In fact, you're more likely to wait (not more than an extra day) for some of the older flicks like "Run Lola Run". So, yea, we love it, too! Edit: Regarding Blockbuster..when our gift subscription ends, we might try that just to see how it compares. We don't really use the "Watch Now" feature anyways. And at least w/ Blockbuster you can return it to the store and immediately get a new one if you want...we don't really have a need for that either, not to mention the last couple times we'd gone to Blockbuster before we had Netflix we left empty-handed. Seriously--they're always out of what we wanted and have a shitty selection of everything else. So, I don't know. We'll probably go right back to Netflix. But, I'm a royal comparison shopper. I have to know I'm getting a sweet deal. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

    Transformers

Robots in disguise. Yes, I watched them. I even had the skyscraper. It was disappointing. I mean, "what's fun about a building?" Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

  12. Well, at least I'll know my performance will live up to all the ladies before me. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  13. Excellent! P.S. I ate them both. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  14. Is this like in Princess Bride where both olives are tainted? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  15. One is floating; the other is resting at the bottom. Which one is safe to eat, and which one will kill me? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  16. I would have sang "Berries and soy" but that's not how the funny Starburst commercial goes. In addition--purely speculating--but I'd venture to say there's no real cream, dairy product, or really anything natural other than a drop of real juice in a Starbust anyways. I don't even like Starbursts. But I like the little lad who loves berries & cream. Furthermore, I LOVE this cream! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  17. Actually, I have nothing left to say after this response (in its entirety).
  18. We all process and understand information differently and require different presentations to best fit us... Freeflybella, you and I can tell people facts all day long about the horrors that go on in animal factory farming. Why then do some people not seem to really "get it" until they actually see the video footage of such abuse (even though they're seeing that which we already told them)? And again, there IS new information to be learned from the video. The question is whether or not it can be learned just as well w/out having to had seen the video. It seems you are absolutely sure it can be? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  19. The real point and question asked I responded to first & foremost. We can instead debate use of comparisons but...again, bygones. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  20. It's only a better comparison to you b/c it proves your point; they didn't show it for reasons of sensitivity. Osama (and pictures, etc. of terrorists who were "on the scene") was shown quickly after, thus I chose that instead to help illustrate my point. Bygones. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  21. I addressed the gain--motive. You originally asked: You should have learned an idea of why he did it. This information was not known beforehand. We knew only he'd written some papers and was a disturbed individual. And though I can't speak for the victims or their families, my best guess would be to say most would want to know his motive as well. I get it, though--you'd prefer the media to have simply told us his motive. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  22. I disagree. Sept. 11 is a completely different issue, but whether or not video of the person responsible should be shown is quite applicable, as a point you made earlier was one of "can't they just tell us rather than having to show the video?" Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  23. How then, do you feel about the media airing video of Osama Bin Laden after the Sept. 11th attacks? No, I'm not saying NBC didn't also think about the profit to be made. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
